The City of Thornmouth is a mega port city found in a fantastic land known as Hy-Brazir, a splitting continent upon a planet that serves as a nexus of worlds. It is a realm rich with history and long forgotten secrets, where lands beyond the great sea remain uncharted, where the ruins of ancient civilizations long past lie sleeping, and where monsters dwell both great and small. Thornmouth is found near the heart of the continent as part of its own young kingdom across a sacred isthmus. It is an increasingly diverse land in every way, with creatures and people filtering in from both sides of a continent distinguished by magic on one side and those who fear it on the other. This is amplified by the immigration of individuals from a multitude of other worlds, travelers purposeful and accidental that have slipped through cracks in spacetime connecting worlds: such is the nature of the planet Anexus, a world where the fragments of a secondary magical moon have opened up gateways all across the planet.
It was once a world of wizards and dragons who reigned in peace as one until conflict tore them apart, but beyond the legends most knowledge of the ancient past has been lost since the first falling. It is known the planet was devastated and had an era of chaos after the forming of the first moon gates and subsequent arrival of its immigrant races.
