ST. MARIE PATISSERIE AND FLORAΒ
Rustic, whimsical desserts and hand-tended assorted flowers.Β
Name: St. Marie Patisserie + Flora
Location: Apricus Gardens
Type: Bakery and Florist
Hours: Doors are unlocked daily from 5am to 5pm though smoke is ever puffing from the rooftop.
Employees: Heath St. Marie (owner and proprietor). No sign is posted seeking new positions but it appears only one person works here. Inquire at one's own risk.
A bakery with a wide menu that is limited and pruned based on week and season; owner Heath runs things himself and while he has a large repertoire, he is only one person. Menu varies by week and you find out what's available by visiting (no signs or menu is ever posted giving any information). Flowers are personally grown or sourced extremely locally and hand-arranged to client specification. Pre-made bouquets and other arrangements are also available. Catering for any event type also available as well as flower delivery.
A warmly and well-lit space of polished teak. Clear, clean bay windows. Pale birch flooring. Teak shelving and display cases full of pastries and other assorted desserts greet you very warmly. There is no front counter, just a small podium holding a register and suffixed by a backless, deeply uncomfortable looking stool. As one ventures deeper into the shop (surrounded on all sides by confection and pastry) they will find the Flower Room, aptly named for it houses the florist's area. Premade bouquets and individual flowers are available here and it also hosts the florists worktable.
