Emer a koi mermaid from the east standing at 6'2" who provides musical entertainment to the occupants of the Calling.
The Siren’s Calling is a mixed timber and stone building down at the harbor where the ships come to port at all times of day and night keeping the finfolk and other such who work there busy at all times of the day. Outside you are greeted with the sound of music and laughter as you approach The Siren with one small outdoor table for outdoor seating if one wishes to escape the hustle and bustle of the indoors sounded by four seats with one candle. There is a small garden growing outfront of the tavern with various herbal flowers and plants used in cooking.
Inside a crackling fire pit near the main bartop with two benches draws you in especially on the chillier of those oceanborne nights where the water is whipping up just a bit to high on the docks bring the salt spray up in the wind and with it the bite of cold even in the heat of the summer. There are four long tables to take a seat at with friends or enemies Aria does not judge as long as he is not having to throw you out for stabbing someone on his turf. For those of you looking for something a bit more private there are five smaller tables scattered about The Siren to give more discreet meetups and a feeling of intimacy among guests.
The Siren has a fully stocked bar ready to serve what your heart desires, so long as it is on the menu of course. Now don’t worry about the bar getting too full if you feel like being a bartop drifter sitting at a stool chatting away with the bartender and fellows beside you there is a secondary bartop where if available a second bartender can be set to attend to your needs! Overall the inside of the siren is warm and well lit with a welcoming atmosphere just waiting for you to come in and enjoy the good food and company! Very importantly if you have found you have indulged too much there is a washroom available to those who need it on the first floor.
The staff areas are as follows: a stone built kitchen with double oven and one fire pit to cook over with stew pots. The inside is spacious allowing for plenty of hustle and bustle as bodies come in and out to bring out orders to their respective patrons. There are two doors into the kitchen allowing for more ease of access. Below the kitchen is the cellar where they store their goods and extras and well if you were to decide to try your hand at robbery- their shard, however I would not recommend it. Aria might just keep the hand. Up a set of stairs in the main area to the second floor there comes the communal living area of The Siren’s Calling for the staff.
With one table at the top of the stairs where they can sit and take a breather away from the hustle and bustle down below. Then there are two washrooms available for them so they may clean and make ready before and after their shifts. Only two of the bedrooms are truly claimed as permanent residents and those two are the two on the right hand side of the building which belong to Loriia and Aria. The rest are allowed to be used as beds to rotate through for the staff as they need to however a staff member is allowed to claim a bed as their permanent bed should they wish too. One room upstairs is set aside as a storage and office room where papers are kept and sorted.
