Universe 12 is far different the the Cannon Dragon Ball universe. Many of the main characters are gender bent or flat out replaced. There ranks may differ from their U7 counterparts. For Example: The Saiyan Princess is the strongest, rather then the saiyan warrior who was sent to earth as a child.
Power here is also different. Each person is stronger then their U7 counterpart. example: The U12 saiyan princess' base power level is equal to the super saiyan power level of the U7 saiyan Prince

There are many, many gods in universe 12. Some of them are even stronger then the omni-king, Zeno. These gods are called True gods, the creators of the omniverse. There are a small amount of them. (All of which are pre-made characters)
The lesser gods, are the ones such as Beerus and Champa. They are the ones that are more active in mortal affairs, and more known. The Ruler of Universe 12 is a Saiyan Prince God of Destruction by the name of Yacon.
