. Out of Character .
- No Harassment. No Drama. This is for both staff & patrons. Everyone should respect everyone, despite their race/gender/sex/preference/etc. If we see anyone causing an uproar with the other patrons, you will be spoken to by staff and given a warning. If you continue on with this behavior after being warned, depending on the severity of the situation you could find yourself temporarily or permanently banned.
- Do not bring OOC to IC. This rule was already stated once before, but it's listed again here for further reinforcement.
- Respect the Staff. We are here to help you with your problems and assist with your concerns, and we are not the enemy. Staff are here to enforce rules and keep order, not to hold your hand or take sides. This goes for both OOC & IC.
- When IC, realism is the ultimate law. Staff will not be using personal experience in ruling on situations, but rather going by what would naturally occur in the real world. When dealing with OOC matters, staff will attempt to keep peace, but are not objective to laying down the law.
- Utadi follows the 3-strike rule, meaning after a patron/staff receive 3 warnings/strikes, they are subject to being ejected or even banished from the dream.
-
. Consent Laws .
Utadi is mostly a no consent required dream. However, we decided to introduce semi-consent to certain areas of the dream for those whom are uncomfortable with this rule.
- Claimable or "Hostile" territories are listed as no consent, which means that by entering these lands anything is capable of happening to your character for passing into hostile territory without your permission, as long as they have a realistic reason.
- Neutral lands are listed as semi-consent, meaning your character can be attacked, but not killed without your permission.
- If you are within either territory, and you feel you are being wrongfully attacked by another player, you may contact a staff member.
- If you have entered a hostile territory to make a claim or battle a group leader, you must contact a staff member to attend the roleplay to assure that there is no foul play between the parties.
- Dream-wide plots are mandatory. The reasoning for this is because it'd be fairly odd if the river happened to flood and your character was still going around pretending that it hadn't happened, while roleplaying with others that did acknowledge the change.
-
. Roleplay Laws .
- No OOC to IC/IC to OOC. What happens to your character happens to your character, not to you personally. The same goes for you, the player- If you have a conflict with a person OOC, do not bring that conflict IC.
- Utadi is a semi-realistic dream. We have color and character laws you can find in the Species Section of the forum. These must be followed at all times. Failure to follow these and attempting to roleplay, will result in you being brought back to the OOC section of the dream until you abide them.
- No power play, god mode, or twinking. You may not control other players characters, just your own. When fighting, or interacting, with another player, you should attempt to do actions, rather than automatically succeeding. You may not twink, either. Twinking means you leave a roleplay without a reason. If you lost connection or power, let the other player/s know when you return. If this becomes a habit, the staff may get involved.
- No Thrill killing. Just because Utadi is a semi to no consent dream, that does not give you the right to go around killing everyone. There needs to be a logical reason for why you would end the life of another character. Cubs are free game when it comes to dominance, but we'd like to request that you give the cub players the option to flee and try to survive on their own if they are not comfortable with death.
- Fighting in Utadi is fairly simple. Each post you are allowed to go through with 1 action from the following list: Attack, Defend, Dodge, Surrender, or Flee.- Attacking is when your character inflicts damage on your opponent.
- Defending is when your character protects itself from an attack. This reduces the damage you'd take from your opponent.
- Dodging is when your character completely avoids an oncoming attack from your opponent. You are allowed only 4 dodges per fight.
- Surrendering is when your character submits to your opponent, in attempt to end the fight.
- Fleeing is when you character tucks tail and attempts to run away from the fight. This usually results in the fight ending.
- Fights involving multiple characters are a bit different. To join the fight, you must first meet two requirements: Your character must have been in the area/roleplay when the fight began and you must have permission from the members of the fight in order to join.
- Post orders are not a requirement when roleplaying, but are strongly encouraged. They assist in keeping order when roleplaying in a group, so there's not any misunderstandings and everyone has a chance to post. If a player has to AFK, they can always request to be skipped until they return and their character will simply continue doing whatever it had been doing when they left. (IE. Sitting quietly, snoozing, staring at a rock)

. Character Timeline .
- 1 IRL week is equivalent to 1 IC month timeline which means that 1 IRL year is equivalent 4 IC years.
- While within Utadi, this timeline must be followed.
- All females, despite the species, are only allowed to enter estrus once every 2 IRL months. If they recently gave birth, they must wait for an additional IRL month before entering estrus/breeding again.
- Litter sizes are listed in the Species thread. It is up to the parents to decide on the number of young that will be in the litter via dice roll or whatever their preference. As long as the litter is within the limit for the species, staff will not pay much attention to it.
-Gestation times are different for each species, but to keep it simple certain species will be grouped together.- All Felines must remain pregnant for a minimum of 3 IRL weeks.
- Hyenas/AWD/Jackals must remain pregnant for a minimum of 2 IRL weeks.
- Small Herd animals must remain pregnant for a minimum of 5 IRL weeks.
- Large Herd animals must remain pregnant for a minimum of 10 IRL weeks.
All rules are subject to change at the owners' discretion.
