Entry: Gravesnake

Size: Huge

Description:
The size of an average cottage or larger this creature had a rocky cliff like back, a wispy tail and a body built like a bear and rhino together. Its skin was hard like stone except for the underside of its neck and belly. A sharp blade like beak protruded off a muzzle filled with teeth and a giant curved horn rested on its snout.

Abilities:
Can control earth and ice elements. Ice aura and control through its horn.

Additional Info: Nocturnal, Carnivore, very aggressive.

Weaknesses: Light, Sunlight, and loud sounds and high populated areas. Weak spots are under the neck and chest. Shattering its horn will cause it to freeze itself.


History: Called a gravesnake as its first interactions with the ancients of Yveridian area only saw the top part of its body. Its snake like head as it swam through the earth to attack them. It resembled a serpent and would drag people to their demise while giving the air a chill. Thus it was like a grave pulling down a corpse. The gravesnake. Warriors of ancient tribes would face it one on one in a ritual that was to make them men. Villagers would chase it off in a large mod when it threatened their livelyhoods in later eras.


Entry: Harlot's Ivy


Size: Medium - Huge

Description:
A medium to large sized carnivorous plant that preys on humans and other sentients for nourishment. Called the Harlot's Ivy because it first captures an attractive specimen and creates a puppeteer like rigging system by pushing tendrils of roots and vines into a host body. it then displays them and makes them act in sensual and sultry manner to attract prey.

Abilities: Tendril Attacks. Acidic Gas expulsion. Parasitic Puppeteering. Alluring Pheromone.

Additional Info: Plant. Carnivore. Its puppets can walk, talk and interact but must be in close proximity to the host.

Weaknesses: The core root which sprouted from the seed first must be severed. Bladed weapons made for chopping and hacking.

Immunities: Fire.


History: The Harlot Ivy got its name because of how often uses nude beautiful females to lure more prey into its clutches. It binds its prey with its root and vine tendrils and then sprays an acidic gas into the air that dissolves its food so that its root system can absorb the nutrients.


Entry: Cursed Giants


Size: Huge - Gigantic

Description: Huge behemoths that stand over many trees and buildings in height. Usually lithe creatures. They come in all different shapes in sizes. They tend to have some racial or animal-like characteristic.

Abilities: Super Strength. Varying abilities depending on their origin. From frost breath to plant control.

Additional Info:
Omnivores. Some may be peaceful, others aggressive. Each have their own personality. Can speak.

Weaknesses: Hammer them. Hammer them hard. Weakness vary based on type.




History: The Cursed Giants, Cursed Ones, Blighted Behemoths or any other name they go by are said to have been touched by some ancien form of evil. Each had started as a normal creature. Maybe a duck, or other woodland creature. Maybe a mischievous elf. Regardless of their origin they are as varied as the creatures they are created from. Be warned, it is said that should their dark lord still creates these creatures today. Despite their sightings being rare they are always an interesting encounter for the average adventurer.


Entry: Lesser Sphinx



Size: Medium - Large

Description: Torso of a man or woman with lion-like features of the face. Human arms meld into lion paws. Lion hindquarters with tail. Wings of an eagle sprawl out from the shoulders. They are about the size of an average lion.


Abilities: Superior Strength. Flight. Mind Control. Spiritual Awareness. Encyclopedic Knowledge. Spirit readings. Cat-like stealth and grace. Lion senses. Sentient.


Additional Info: Carnivorous. Known to present riddles and kill those who cannot solve them. Can be benevolent or malevolent. Sometimes kidnaps humans or other races to be toys/lovers for their entertainment.

Weaknesses: Solve their riddles. Present a riddle they do not know the answer to. Use weapons and magic?



History: Lesser Sphinxes are less known than their common larger comrades. While they share many qualities with them they are much smaller in size. See: Sphinx


Entry: Bosk Drake



Size: Huge

Description: A huge creature these drakes are sometimes mistaken for walking forest groves. Their scales are melded with the nature around. Plants and flowers grow off their form.

Abilities: Sentient. Plant manipulation. Life recovery. Telepathic communication to all creatures of the wood.


Additional Info: Peaceful unlesss provoked. Guardians of the Wood.

Weaknesses: Unknown


History: Not much is known as these creatures are often mistaken for walking forests. No one has really recorded much on these creatures.


Entry: Chimmooki


Size: Medium

Description: Slightly taller than a man, slightly thinner than an ape. These creatures look like the cross between anthro apes and men. They were primitive clothing and use primitive tools



Abilities: Superior Strength. Sentient. Ape-man physiology. Primitive tool building.

Additional Info: Omnivorous. Speaks with Primitive Common. Tribalistic.

Weaknesses: All weaponry.


History: The Chimmooki are said to be the bastard children of anthro apes and man. It is said this forbidden love was cursed by the gods and so these poor primitive creatures were created. Neither accepted by man or ape they formed their own tribal villages. They work together in primitive stone-age villages. They use primitive tools and vary from tribe to tribe how they interact with others. Often shy at first. Some though are known to form raiding or war parties.


Entry: Nematognathi



Size: Medium

Description: Humanoid Fish creatures that wear armor, clothing.

Abilities: Mastery of Swimming. Water breathing. Air Breathing. Mastery of Undarium (Water-based material stronger than iron and that is immune to rust)


Additional Info
: Carnivorous. Sentient. Can speak common. Warfaring.

Weaknesses: Too much exposure to the sun. Weapons.

History: An Empire that lies beneath the waters. These creatures live in towns built at the bottom of lakes and rivers. They have an advanced material that is suited to their watery homes. They are constantly expanding and sometimes come into conflict with land-dwellers when they take up refuge in a town's water supply.


Entry: Vullagin



Size: Tiny

Description: The unholy child of a spider and a lizard. The repto-insectoid has an exoskeleton made of chitin and scale weave. It has 10 legs that are like that of a spider and two claw like arms. It is highly venomous and aggressive.


Abilities: Venomous. Camouflage. Web slinging.


Additional Info: Carnivorous. Aggressive.

Weaknesses: Crush it?



History: Common little pests of the wood. Watch out and be sure you don't piss one off. They have a nasty bite that rots the flesh and stops the heart.


Entry: Creveatain



Size: Huge

Description: Looking like the cross between an aquatic reptile of the ancient days and a crab. This large fish-beast has a hard carapace that protects its back. Thick iron-hard scales protect its belly. It has four fins and two claws which conceal two tentacles in each of them.


Abilities: Water breathing. Crushing claws. Latching tentacles. Vicious bite. Sonic Blast

Additional Info: Carnivorous. Territorial. Lives in large rivers, lakes, and oceans.

Weaknesses: Unknown



History: Nevinaar are known to set up territorial spaces in large bodies of water. Often the apex predators of their domain. It is easy to find them when they feed because they use their sonic blast to kill or stun fish and rupture their swim bladder causing them to float to the surface in large groups. Swimmers be warned. Internal bleeding and damage to the organs can be caused by this blast. Do not trifle with this creature.


Entry: Corvuchan



Size: Gigantic

Description: A gigantic monstrous crow-like creature with two claws connected to wings. It stands hunched on two large talons and has several odd tendril attachments clinging off its body.

Abilities: All-Sight: It can see in all directions and also has thermals senses. Hypnotic Control: It can control its victims with its stare. Deadly Shriek: Can cause damage with its sonic screech. Gust: Can create vortexes by flapping its wings. Iron Feathers: It can shoot off feathers that harden like iron in a cone in front of it.

Additional Info: Carnivorous. Solitary. Prefers high perches. Preys on small villages. Hypnotizes settlers to bring it food when its lazy.

Weaknesses: Eyes. Clipping its wings.


History: Drocharan is a fabled beast that brings fear into the hearts of locals Be wary of this crow. Like its smaller cousins it is clever and mischievous. It will do all in its power to gain the upper hand and is fond of playing with its prey.
