The BLOOD PITS use a relatively simple DS system for normal matches. It assumes that two combatants are fighting one on one and that they are "evenly matched," which just means that each player has the same chance to win as the other. (Unless you want to use a self-imposed penalty due to character injury, etc. If you do, contact a moderator before your fight.)
For Combatants
First, a moderator will initiate a fight between you and a combatant.
At this point, type !fight. When both players have done this, it will show the results. In case of a draw, reroll.
Once you've both rolled and you have the result of the round, make your posts. As usual, this is totally freeform--incorporate the results of the diceroll however you wish.
When you've both posted, the moderator will advance the round, then just type !fight again, and so forth until the fight ends.
The first person to get three wins in a row wins the match, but if the fight goes on for too long, the moderator may choose to initiate overtime--then the first person to get two wins in a row wins the match.

For Moderators
To start a fight, type !startfight NAME1 NAME2 where NAME1 and NAME2 are the names of the combatants.
The fighters will be prompted to roll off and make their fight posts. When they've done so, say !nextround to continue.
Continue this way until the fight is complete.
The DS will track the tallies and end the fight as needed, but there are some manual moderator commands you can use to tweak the experience.
To start a fight, type !startfight NAME1 NAME2 where NAME1 and NAME2 are the names of the combatants.
- You can be one of the combatants.
- Exclude spaces, or use the pipe (|) instead of them. ("Strawberry Chocolate" should be written as StrawberryChocolate or Strawberry|Chocolate)
- However you type the names will be how it shows up in the text prompts, so you may wish to use the | key for spaces and use proper capitalization, but it doesn't matter.

- !cancelfight ends a fight prematurely.
- !overtime initiates overtime. This command resets both tallies, and afterwards combatants only need to get two wins in a row to win the match rather than three. !overtimeoff toggles it off again.
- !setround # will set the fight round to whatever # is.
- !setp1tally # and !setp2Tally # will manually set the players' tally to #.
!setp1modifier # and !setp2modifier # will set the player(s)' modifier. Keep in mind that this number will be turned negative--so if you want one player to have a modifier of -2, put 2. This modifies all their dicerolls if they want a self-imposed handicap due to character injury, etc.In the works!
