Ranks are used to balance battles out- This is necessary for pilots to make sure competition is fair. You have a higher chance of climbing a rank by fighting higher ranking pilots than you do lower ranks.
The ranks are as follows. The ranking system works, for example: S3 - 1 is the lowest, 3 is the highest. S is the highest rank. Every team starts as the lowest rank and must work their way up.
Winning a certain number of battles will move you up a rank, while losing them will move you down. Forfeit a match and you'll be moved down a full twenty ranks. Dropping below the minimum rank will result in the team being barred from participating any further.
