Abyssal Law

  • ic_zpse495bf4f.png
p2_zps26ef240a.png Dominions (alphas) make the rules and their word is considered to be the law of the pack. In the case a dominion is not present, a lieutenant can make a decision.
p2_zps26ef240a.png All pack members deserve respect. Some will clash or argue, but if it gets to the point where an alpha has to step in, demotions or exile are a possibility.
p2_zps26ef240a.png Any member of the pack can recruit or vouch for a new recruit, as long as the new recruit is approved by the alpha. Only alphas can rank pack members accordingly. Any new members will be placed within the Associates rank until proof of their loyalty is shown and they earn a proper rank.
p2_zps26ef240a.png Any member may challenge another member for rank. All challenges will be cleared with the alpha where a time, date, and place will be decided on.
p2_zps26ef240a.png Not all ranks have to fight if they feel threatened or are attacked. However, the territory should be defended. If that means the character will flee and warn others, that is fine too. Pack members are better alive than dead.
p2_zps26ef240a.png Not everyone who wishes to join the pack may be accepted. However, the alpha feels a sense of responsibility for hellhounds that have come through the portal. It is also possible for hellhounds to be sent through from a superior on the other side to join the ranks.
p2_zps26ef240a.png If a demon comes into contact with a fae creature or its magic, expect the demon to sustain some type of injury. Double the injury if there is a fight with a fae and they were injured during combat, that way the extra poison from the magic/touch is accounted for. All aspects of a fae are potentially harmful, but to varying degrees: flesh (least) and saliva (greatest).
p2_zps26ef240a.png When a new member has been inducted into the pack, they are given a pendant/stone to wear. This shows they are protected by the pack. When other stones are close by, they will grow brighter.

p2_zps26ef240a.png Hellhounds have five general stages of life:

    p2_zps26ef240a.png Young Adult

1_zps64c0ddf8.png Let Toxic Tear or Indigo Nightfall know you are interested in joining the pack.
2_zpsc4f3efe0.png No one can join the pack without first RPing with an alpha. That way, the joining pack member can be decided upon.
3_zpsec68fca7.png After the RP, if you are admitted into the pack, you will be approved on the site as a member and added to 'The Hounds' page as well.

p2_zps26ef240a.png Mating and breeding are allowed. Permission is not needed to mate and/or breed. However, an alpha should be made aware if a pack member has decided to take a mate or breed.
p2_zps26ef240a.png If the mate is an outsider/in a separate pack, then the pack will protect the pup as its own.
p2_zps26ef240a.png Pregnancy period can last up to a month, unless there are complications.
  • pups_zps38fd6100.png
p2_zps26ef240a.png All pups are born completely black/gray until they complete their Abyssal Calling (see Ceremonies for more info on pups) into adolescence.
p2_zps26ef240a.png Before the birth of the pups, the mother/father will need to roll (1d6) to determine the number of pups in the litter. This roll should be witnessed by the alpha.
    w5_zps33956353.png
p2_zps26ef240a.png After the first roll, a second roll (1d2) needs to be done to determine the gender for each pup indicated.
p2_zps26ef240a.png The mother and father of the pup(s) can come up with a list of powers they would like for the pup(s) to get. Present the list to the alpha and a few can be decided on (that way the demons are not OP and have acceptable powers). Depending on how many are acceptable, one of the parents can roll (1d#) to see what the power will be.
p2_zps26ef240a.png After that roll, one parent will also roll (1d10) to see how strong the pup's power will be.
p2_zps26ef240a.png Any hounds born will immediately be taken through the portal by the pack's shaman. Pups will remain in the netherworld for approximately two weeks. Because they are demons, the aging process tends to be quicker for pups in order for them to gain their powers and reach adolescence.
p2_zps26ef240a.png At the two week mark, an Abyssal Calling ceremony will take place. It is a public ceremony in which all pack members are invited, but alpha, shaman, parents, and pup are necessary.

    ac_zps6116d3a7.png
p2_zps26ef240a.png When pups are born, they experience a deep calling from within the abyss. If pups are not taken into the portal soon after the birth, they will become too weak to survive. A shaman travels through with all pups and delivers them to a netherworld guardian waiting on the other side. The guardian watches over the pups for a two week period and trains them in their inherited demonic powers.
p2_zps26ef240a.png When two weeks have passed, the pack will hold a sacred ceremony to welcome the pups back home. Pack members, and if it has been accepted by the alpha and parents, outsiders are invited to watch. The alpha, shaman, parents, and pup(s) are necessary for the ceremony to take place.
p2_zps26ef240a.png In some cases, this will be the first time the mother has seen her pup(s), if she did not see them before they were taken through the portal.
p2_zps26ef240a.png This ceremony represents a pup's passage into adolescence and their two weeks in hell; some do not survive the journey back through the portal from the other side. This happens if the pup is not strong enough or did not train hard enough to prepare for the descent.
p2_zps26ef240a.png A shaman will journey into the portal to retrieve the pup(s) from the guardian. The ceremony cannot take place without a shaman as they are the only ones who can travel between the worlds. If the pups survive the journey home, that is when they receive their given name. It is also when their powers and form (colors, build, attributes, etc) are revealed. Each will emerge an adolescent.

    ritual_zpsb568482a.png
p2_zps26ef240a.png This ritual is not for all mated couples. It is for mates that have been together for a long time and wish to undergo an eternal pact to one another.
p2_zps26ef240a.png The eternal pact consists of a mated couple cutting their paws on a sacred ceremonial stone in this blood-bonding ritual.
p2_zps26ef240a.png An alpha and a shaman must be present for this ceremony. However, the rest of the pack and/or outsiders are allowed to attend if the couple agrees.

p2_zps26ef240a.png Always follow dream rules and respect dream staff.
p2_zps26ef240a.png Members are allowed a maximum of two alts per person in the pack, unless one (or both) die. Then new ones are able to join.
p2_zps26ef240a.png All pack members must be some type of canine. Canine mixes or hybrids are acceptable, but it must be canine-like in appearance.
p2_zps26ef240a.png The pack consists of demons only; hellhounds. If you are interested in joining the pack, please make sure your character is a demon of some kind and is of demon blood. If you are unsure, feel free to talk to Toxic Tear or Indigo Nightfall!
p2_zps26ef240a.png Due to Starlight Escape, the dream the pack resides out of, being located in FurN, pups are not allowed to be RP'd. This is the reason for the pups being sent into the portal until they reach adolescence.
p2_zps26ef240a.png If a mated couple cannot find a player for their offspring during the pregnancy/two week pup stage (before the Abyssal Calling ceremony), the offspring stuck without players will either be played off as dying during birth or during the ceremony through the netherworld portal. Please understand not all wolf pups should always survive.
