List of Deities

  • Althalos named many Gods and Goddesses after people he knew prior to his Godhood. Many of which sharply parallel the people they were named after.
  • Top Gods

Althalos: God of the sun, light, divinity, healing, gold and forgery. Worshiping him brings clear skies, sunlight and contributes to healthy crops. Sacrifices include golden objects. It is said he lives in a golden palace, from which he formed on his cosmic anvil. It is said that he also formed the lesser light Gods from gold.

Vali: God of the sea, magic, trickery. Legends say that he often fornicates with human women, and that he often plays tricks on unknowing humans. Stories tell that it was Vali that led Althalos to the island of Nyreyland and ultimately influenced his rule.

Lasayr: Goddess of Fire, leadership, guidance and judgement. Often seen as the underworld Goddess. It is said she leads an army of demonic furies that bite humans and turn them into demons as well. She is said to live in a palace in which she protects and rules over her furies. It is rumored that Althalos had fallen in love with Lasair, but when she denied him he grew angry, and made his sunlight fatal to her and her furies.

Yzykl: God of Shadows, darkness, and death. He is the shadow that walks at night when there is no trace of sunlight. He observes and feeds off evil. While he isn't the most friendly towards Althalos and the other gods, he tolerates them only so that he won't have to face them. It is said that he leads the souls of the dead to the underworld, and can even influence one's fate.
  • Lesser Gods

Selyn: Goddess of the moon. Said to have tried to appeal to Althalos. Holds the power over another island, Guildereim. She is opposite to Althalos, often seen as an adversary. For this, night, the moon, and the stars influence great fears among the Nyreylandians.

Ranfrest: Goddess of nature, plants and vegetation. She influences the health of plants and can aid them in growing.

Nachyl: God of tides and waves. Said to have once lived in the clouds where he governed the rain, but left to fornicate with a fire God.
