The moment you click "launch chat" button... the text editor is no longer available and you cannot quickly submit links to pictures and URLs, change font size or alignment, or style (bold, italic, underline)
There is the feature to include dice roll and change character but nothing else.
I like using chat because the sound immediately alerts me when replies come through but it would fantastic if the edit buttons were made available in the chat applet too rather than use standard forum to add a picture or make a text bold and return to the chat applet to hear / see replies

Oh boy oh boy I can't WAIT to completely rewrite chat from the ground up
It would also be nice if the chat can keep the group theme?
When you launch chat you only get the standard site background, so if you launch 3 sites for 3 different groups you have to toggle between screens to figure out which chat goes with which group.
Would be nice the blue, green and grey backgrounds were kept in the chat too for quick identification

Looking forward to that
I just launched totally new chat code for both forums and inbox.
The buttons for text formatting are there, but the whole thing now functions on a push model rather than a pull (which should make it lighter on the server and less of a source of lag), "Someone is typing" indicators, and a brand new custom designed chat alert noise that I'm fairly fond of! Please test the bejeezus out of it.
