I am here suggesting more Technology/Time Period options in the Technology slider when making an RP post.
While making and RP post for an Egyptian character in 50-30BC Egypt, I struggled to figure out what I should set the technology as.
The current options are very, very, from what I can tell European centric. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. (Might also not be using the right word)
The time period my character is in the Argead/Ptolemaic time period of Egypt, which is way way ahead of the 'Spears and Fire', 'Bronze Age' and doesn't really line up at all with the Iron Age either, but Renaissance is too far ahead. Now, the Egyptians were very far ahead, but, selecting Renaissance is still just to far ahead and doesn't fit the culture either.
So I ended up picking Iron Age even though that doesn't fit either, it was the only somewhat viable option that would work for now with a note in the post about it.
I would really like to see at least a few more time periods in there or the ability to create your own time period name and set the slider to a specific point of the line. The latter wouldn't be searchable but would give the information needed when someone is looking.

These are just meant to be "for examples" -- you are free to interpret the bar positions however you like. I think you did exactly the right thing here, in picking the spot that felt right to you and then writing what you really meant. Ideally, literally everyone would include details of what they meant by their slider positions when writing up their RP descriptions.
