I'm not sure if something like this was posted. I feel there should be an option that is site based instead of email or off-site based for notifying you when a post is replied to.

I have lost many of the forum topics I have spoken in because I just don't get any notification since I have email notification turned off. It seems for some reason forum things don't always show up in the feed either?

Maybe this could be a thing that pops up beside the inbox. Like how other sites show this with a little bell symbol. You can click it to view which forums you have been active in and have new replies?
I can't comment on any 2.0 features for this, but right now you can access a list of all the topics you're subscribed to on the right-hand sidebar of the homepage under "Subscribed topics".

You can also enable device notifications for Desktop and Mobile (if they support it) on your Settings page, down by the notifications area.

Do these features currently do what you'd like them to do? :)
Ah cool. I'm not sure how I missed the subscribed topic filter. Thanks!

And its a bit weird as sometimes the forum topic automatically set things up to be subscribed to if you reply. Other forums don't like the art and game forums. They are defaulted to not subscribe and so I miss it and then am left wondering why those aren't showing up. Maybe subscribing should be an option at the top of each forum topic so it doesn't relay on you replying to it to find it.

And yes I saw those notification options but wanted something not connected to outside sources. But for the site itself to give me notification on the bar in a more visible place. ^^
There are currently no auto-subscriptions that differ per forum. Likely what you're seeing is that you're connected to players or characters through a friendship (or acquaintance/family/enemy for characters) connection, and then when they post on the site it pops up in your feed!

You can toggle what you want to see in your notifications settings and your friends page to customize your experience.

By default, if you want to stay up to date on a topic, you need to always subscribe to it in order to receive notifications. Every topic has a big "Subscribe" button at the top of it right next to the reply button. Doing so will make a topic always show up in your on-site feed the moment someone responds to it. If you're already subscribed, it will show unsubscribe. :) When you reply there's also always the option to subscribe while you're responding right above the submit button.

I don't know what the current status/plans on notifications are, but I'm curious too!
lol thanks!! Found the subscribe button. Really how am I missing these things ><
No worries!! RPR is chock full of features, it's easy to miss things. :) I think it also helps Kim make better design decisions when she knows what areas people struggle in, so knowing you missed these things can be super helpful.
