I'm hoping that there will be some kind of solution in the rebuild. It seems to me that there is a far greater potential for stalking if the person you block can still see what you're writing, than if they could reasonably figure out who your anon characters are.
Hi all!
I think I can say that preventing blocked persons from seeing your character profiles will most likely not be able to be in the rebuild at launch (which is in a few months here.) However, as some have pointed out, we do have a (likely, but not 100%) planned feature for sometime after launch which allows for some privacy of character profiles. I think this is a natural combo with that feature, and will take care of some of the privacy concerns as well. With the way the bake sale has been going, we may even be able to get to this this year.
For the somewhat off-topic suggestion that's also been debated in this thread regarding being able to no longer see members you have blocked in public; I'm happy to tell you that this is already completed in 2.0, and therefore guaranteed to be in at launch.
Yikes! For the love of RPR, report stuff like this if you see it! It is super against the rules, and mods routinely handle issues of blocked folks retaliating on the forums.

What happens when they're linked a profile or see it referenced, and they can't see it because it's yours and you have them blocked, but now they notice they also can't see your user profile and it's easy to guess that's your character? That seems like it makes it less safe.
I apologize! I must have misread this somewhere along the thread, this makes my question irrelevant.

Thank you! You're a star Kim!
Just wanted to toss a thought out there to help alleviate what I believe may be some of the anonymity concerns are about.
A lot of people are claiming blocking someone would then reveal their characters who are anonymous....I'd like to point out that I do believe this would only work if only a sole single person was blocked, any more than that and you can only assume the character belongs to someone on your block list. Of course it's still possible to abuse this but I just thought pointing this out might help relieve some of the tension about anonymity revelations. (Also feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, I don't believe I am but it does happen sometimes )

The most common number of people to have blocked is either 0 or 1, so this is a really really really common circumstance.

Oh....that explains the concern and the apparent overlook of this thought I had :p
