I was working on a character who's roughly inspired by another I saw awhile back (on dA, not RPR), made with my own logic and thoughts on "well that would be terrifying," all of it building up onto itself from the basic idea. I'm fairly happy with how he's turned out... but certain important things are missing. Like his name, age, and what in the world he even is.
The character. Warning: he's not family friendly.
I'm not too worried about age. I know I want him to be plenty older than he looks, and I can work that out later. The name and race things are bothering me, though. The names that I can think of just don't seem right (although "Jackson" keeps recurring for some reason). As for race, I don't want to do a "demon" hand wave, I certainly don't want him to just be some kind of mutated human (I'm slightly considering magical human, but I'm leaning away from human in general), and if I make him an artificial being, he'll feel too similar to the character I took the initial inspiration from (Unknown-Person's Karl, a charming and psychotic living statue).
And as I've been typing this that "Jackson" thing got my mind going on "Jack's son," which led to "Jack the Pumpkin King" or "Jack the Ripper?" Mrr.
Anyway... any thoughts, either on my trouble points or the character in general?
