Quick guidelines on how this forum works:

- Introductions should be self-explanatory, but please do stop by and chat about yourself, your character and their motivations, anything that you especially like or don't like in your RP style, and maybe a plot hook or two for your character to meet others, if you don't want the usual 'they met in a tavern' welcome.
- The merchant thread for the week displays newly arrived merchants in town. This isn't always a 1:1 in game vs. out of game time. If players are actively engaged in a merchant quest, the merchants for the week are locked in place until the quest is complete or the next month in real life rolls over—this should prevent folks from losing out on rewards if they can't finish a quest within 1 week. (This may be subject to change as the game evolves.) Use the merchant thread for OOC purchases and sales. Fill out the form found in the current merchant thread and adjust your character sheet as needed. If you want to RP with the merchant NPC, holler at me in that same thread, and we'll start up a thread in the IC section. (This is good for haggling, or if you want to try to build a relationship with that merchant so that they come back more often—or, you know, if you're trying to threaten them out of town. That's always possible.)
- The monthly activity thread is put up about 1 week before the end of each month. When you have the minimum number of IC posts to fulfill activity requirements (5, though this may change as the game evolves), fill out the provided form in the thread. You'll get a warning at 7 days prior, 3 days prior, and the day before activity requirements are due. If you fail to post, your character will be removed from the group. You may keep your XP, gold, and loot, but if you wish to continue playing here, you'll need to re-apply. If you have an IRL interruption, you may wish to plan ahead to fulfill activity ahead of time, OR you may wish to have your character leave Cindergrove and choose to be wiped from the active character list until you have time to come back. It's great narrative fodder and we welcome creative use of downtime to show character growth.
- Similarly, activity rewards happen in a monthly thread, where active characters are awarded from a list of options based on what the town has available. The more you help Cindergrove recover and repair, the more you'll unlock rewards. (Early in the game, we will mostly have the option to explore the area of the town, or build renown with Azerius to be granted a patch of land. You can literally build your own home base, but you'll need to earn the gold or favour to make it so.)
- Any larger events will get a planning thread here. Please join in to work with others if you'd like to plan out how to resolve them. Events are opt in. That means if (for example) a particular event causes a bunch of spiders to swarm from the forest, and you have arachnophobia, you can ignore the event and continue playing within the tavern or with one-on-one threads in the IC forum. All we're concerned with is hitting activity quota and ensuring you're having fun. You can also suggest events based on your characters' activities.
- The Longterm Goals thread is for you to chat about what you'd like to do in Cindergrove. This is a place to look at options, suggest new ones, and discuss how to get there. You can always create an in character thread to do this, too, but we need a place to chat about how we want our town to grow.
- You can set up your own OOC thread to track anything you wish to discuss or record for your character. These linger and won't be removed if your character is wiped from the game (though this may change as the game evolves, if we run up against any limitations with RPR. Be sure to back up your info.)
