Morkhan leaned on his axe as he looked at the trail of rat corpses he had left. He banished the half of that giant rat and targeted three much smaller, but whole rats. He pulled off his cloak, now wet with blood, and walked through the rat blood and gore to where Rivka was with the barrel, while sending the three small rats to keep watch on the survivors. What in the name of The Raven were these rats?
That... was ... the ... LARGEST ... rat .... Rivka had ever seen. The goblin's eyes opened wide in amazement, the etching she'd spotted halfway beneath the barrel almost, but not quite, forgotten.
"Birdie, birdie, big rat!" Rivka screeched excitedly. "And magic!" It wasn't a very thorough description, but the best she could do in the heat of the moment. Because that rat looked a bit dazed, perhaps having being teleported from elsewhere, or maybe conjured into existence. Either way, Rivka wasn't going to wait for it to get its bearings. She dropped down from the top of the barrel straight toward the huge rat, her sharp claws extended toward it, intending to tear into it before it got a chance to attack.
((Trying out the 2d6 method! ))
