This is an ever-evolving list of small tidbits pertaining to the setting. Your character might know these things if they're native to or have history in the area. Since the setting still needs a lot of fleshing out, feel free to add to this list. This is mostly for small mundane factoids, nothing huge!
- The plague that swept through Coratiel took around half of the lives of the people in it. Among the deceased are the old ruler, Lord Rewell Fayne.
- The old archivist, Master Betrom, was an old man fond of telling stories. He perished in the plague.
- Lord Rewell's wife (currently nameless) died of a winter chill around seven years ago.
- Ten years ago there was a plot to assassinate Lord Rewell, but it was discovered and put down in time.
- The neighboring House Wainsborough used to be an ally, but since the plague they've been taking liberties with their borders, increasing tensions.
- House Farsenhawk has, however, remained a stalwart ally.
- House Erminbach and House Fayne were at war for generations, but they've declared a brand new truce only a few months old. Tensions are still very high.
- Lord Pythis Drakos, father of Lord Chrysanthos Drakos, took his own life when Chrysanthos was still just a young man. He doesn't like talking about this event, and there are still occasional whispers of foul play.
- There are rumors that the Eyronwood, the large forest that dominates most of Eyronwood County, is enchanted. People have gone missing in the deeper, more wild areas, and strange lights can occasionally be seen dancing among the trees.
