The Law

  • Everything here is often reconstructed to fit current times.
Even if you're a long-time member, please remember to check back here in case something was changed, added or removed.
  • IN CHARACTER

RESPECT Dysfunctional families lead to destruction.
    • Understand that without the Captain, there would be no crew.

    • Understand that those of a commanding rank have earned this position for a good reason- to go against them is to challenge their authority.

    • Respect your fellow crew-mates, their beliefs and ideals.

    • Understand that every life is precious. Give thanks for the food we kill and protect the children and elders of the crew, for they are our past and future.

HONOR A promise kept is honor made.
    • Honor those we have bid allegiance to. They are our brothers. They are our sisters. We will protect and honor them as if they were our own blood.

    • To attack another without reason is punishable.

    • One may challenge any member of the crew for their rank, including the Captain. A council of four will be chosen to watch the fight, which will be decided by first blood. The challenged member will be the one to choose the council.

    • A promise made is a promise kept. Should a member of the crew agree to something, they must keep their word, or risk being shamed before the ship. This is a minor punishment that assaults the pride, not the body.

RELATIONS In this crew, we call it Bonding.
    • A crew member is expected to keep their vows of their bonding. To offend these vows is punishable as the other bonded sees fit.

    • A courting couple does not need the Captain's permission to be together- however, it is required by ship law to perform a bonding should the couple choose to become mates, or Bonded. A bonding ceremony is held before the entire pack and is quite the occasion, celebrated with a feast and song.

    • Despite the celebration of coming together as a Bonded pair, couples in the crew must always first gain permission from the Captain to plan children. Don't bother asking if the Captain is without children herself.

    • There is nothing wrong with loving outside the crew. However, never can an outsider be given a Bonding ceremony, nor can a member of the crew ever bring children from such a coupling. To do so will result in severe punishment, as this can cause disloyalty.
  • OUT OF CHARACTER

    • Please use the description code on the index page in your desc, stating your rank and listing the site link. This is not optional. It's how we know that you're serious about being a member.

    • Please create an RPR account for your pack character, even if it's empty or just links to your character's website or reference image. This is yet another way to tell if you're serious about being a member, so it's not optional. If for whatever reason you can't make an rpr account, please explain why when you join. Thank you.

    • Respect Yellowstone rules and staff first.

    • OOC rules are not guidelines- they're law. IC rules are simply guidelines. Breaking them will result in ic punishment, but that's part of the fun, isn't it? Fair warning, though- after three misconducts, banishment or sever punishment will follow. Thank you.

    • Please roleplay on your character with a commanding officer at least once a month. Don't make it a habit to only roleplay once a month, however. We take notice.

    • There will be the occasional pack-wide plot. When this happens, it's usually expected that you contribute somehow. Failure to do so will result in demotion, or if you're already a Private, exile.
    ○ Please note that exile and banishment are different- Exile allows the character to return after a week, with a gift for the Captain. Banishment promises death or mauling if the character returns at all.
