The sun was shining like a heavenly diamond on the platinum sands of the beach. The water whispered a soothing hymn of peace and tranquility as it rolled onto the shore. On the beach was a lone lady clad in naught but a fashionable bikini and sunhat. She rested under the shield of a beach umbrella as she sat on her chair, reading a cook book full of recipes and tips for gourmet candies and cupcakes. As she happily read her favorite book, her hair wrapped around a glass and lifted it to her face, allowing her to sip her tropical beverage from a fancy little straw.
Adrian was sitting on the beach in his swim trunks. He let out an irritated sigh. Since he woke up and found out he could spew fire from his body, he couldn't remember anything about his life, and being stuck on some government supervised island really didn't help in finding out anything about himself. On top of that, while he did have most of what he was wanting, he really didn't want that government outpost breathing down his neck all the time.

Out of the corner of his eye, Adrian noticed a girl picking up her drink with her hair, surprisingly. He chuckled to himself. "That's one hair-raising power right there." He said to himself. "I wonder if that power'd be good in a fight if things got hairy?"He continued to joke with himself.
Spice set her book down for a moment and noticed a rather interesting young man talking to himself and laughing. She gave him a very confused and concerned look believing he may be a little... lost in the mental aspect. She slipped back to her book, trying to ignore the oddball on the beach.
After a few moments adrian got curious. He stood up and walked over to the girl with living hair. "So, when you over your hair do you feel it like when you move your arm?" He asked out of curiosity.
She looked over at him from the corner of her eye. She softly smiled at him and answered, "not exactly. It actually feels more like your hair being blown in the wind but also kinda like... I'm not sure. It's difficult to explain." She then returned to her book.
"She doesn't seem to be one for conversation..." Ran through Adrian's head. "So what all can you do with it?" Adrian asked."Oh, my name's Adrian Adachi by the way. What's yours?" Adrian asked the girl.
She closed her book and reached into her cleavage, pulling out a pair of what look to be expensive sunglasses before standing up. She swept her hair off of her shoulder and stood calmly as her hair wrapped around her, making an exotic golden dress. "This, among things. And call me Spice." She smirked playfully.
"Whoa" Adrian said, surprised by Spice's powers. "Oh my god nows my chance!" Adrian thought. "That's one hair-raising power you got there!" He joked, pointing his fingers at Spice and wearing a stupid grin on his face.
Spice frowned at him and returned her hair to normal. "You think you're so funny, don't you?" She crossed her arms and kicked a little bit of sand at him.
"Oh come on, it's just a harmless joke! Don't ya got a sense of humor?" Adrian asked. "Know what? I've got fire powers. So, how about you come up with a joke about my powers?" Adrian asked.
Spice began to walk away from the young man. "I don't particularly find myself fond of such childish jokes." She continued walking away for a bit before stopping and looking back at Adrian. "Also, I think you should cool off with the puns for a bit." She sneakily smiled and brushed her hair off her shoulder and walked away.
Adrian chuckled, and followed after her. "Y'know, that pun would've been better if you'd like, shot me wit ha water gun or hit me with a water balloon." He chuckled. "Oh, names Adrian by the way." Adrian said, holding his hand out to shake hands with Spice.
She stopped and turned around. "You already introduced yourself." She reached out and shook his hand. "If you want to tell me more puns, you can at my room. I'm pretty hungry for some cup-" Her phone buzzed and notified her of something. Whatever it was, it made her quickly run back to her room.
"Dammit!" Adrian grumbled. "Sorry sometimes my brain loops. Kinda like that movie, Groundhogs Day, only crummier 'cause Bill Murray's not there." Adrian said, before Spice darted off. He shrugged and followed, clearly not in as much of a hurry as she was. "So, whats go'n on?" He asked once he caught up to her.
