He couldn't figure out where he was. One moment he was hiding in the slums...The next...He was here. In front of him he couldn't even see his hands. He called out to the darkness.
"Hello?" His voice echoed out to the abyss.
"Hello?" His voice echoed out to the abyss.
A voice that sounds like someone familiar, but also someone different speaks to Blake.
"Greetings. I suppose you are very confused as to how you got here. Worry not, I will send you on your way soon enough, when you answer my question." The voice utters.

He seemed put off, but quickly recovered. Whatever the voice was in the darkness, it did not put him on edge. He decided he would humor it.
Remember, I am an omnipotent force. Failure to give honest answers to my questions may put you in a...less than favorable situation.
1. Of outward strength and inward strength of the mind, which is most capable of besting a foe? There is no middle ground for this question.
2. Should judgement be laid out with the fullest extent like a pillar unmovable throughout the ages, or should it be like clay, molding to one's whims?
3. Who is truly evil? The wise man that turns away his apprentice with secret sinister motives, or a criminal that has murdered, but has done many a good deed as atonement?
4. When challenging a foe stronger than you in every aspect, would it be wise to destroy him head with an equally strong party or slowly weaken his life energy solo?

He nodded, and took a moment to mull over his response.
"Inward. Regardless of the foe, if you can destroy his will to fight, you will emerge victorious."
For the second question, he took more time. It seemed he struggled with it slightly.
"Well...I believe it should be laid out for eternity. If judgement was so easy as to shift sides...I wouldn't call that judgement justice."
For the third one, he answered relatively quickly.
"I don't believe that there's any such thing as a truly evil person. At the same time, there isn't a truly good person. We are humans...And are prone to clouded judgement."
For the last one, he looked out to the darkness, hoping his eyes would meet the person on the other side.
"Always fight with someone. Bearing a burden alone will only destroy you. I've seen it happen time after time. The only fight you should handle alone is your final battle."
With that, he breathed out a sigh of anxiety.
"Would that suffice?"

"Yes, yes. That will do. So..." The disembodied voice replied. "...Strategy, Blind Justice, Free Will, Teamwork. Are these the values you possess?"
"If that is what you think of my answers, yes."
He waited patiently for a response. Or was he left in this limbo for all of eternity? Only time would tell. And he didn't even know what time it was.
Amidst the silence, the disembodied voice spoke again.
"You are permitted to choose between...
004 - Battlefield of the Mind
After residents of a quiet town go missing, it is up to a small group of the ones not taken to investigate the cause of the anomaly.
007 - Edge of Creation.
A journey into the depths of the mortal psyche and the search for everlasting peace."

"In that case..."
His eyes twinkled in the darkness.
"Bring me to the Edge of Creation."
His eyes twinkled in the darkness.
"Bring me to the Edge of Creation."
"Good luck. Remember. Life and death are merely two sides of the same coin, the-"
The voice abruptly cuts off, leaving Blake alone in the darkness.

(You're gonna have tons of fun in there, but be careful. Things in that specific forum WILL get really graphic eventually. You can post after I make the first.)
The sound of silence threw Blake off.
"Wait...What? What were you going to say? Hello?"
Where did the voice go? Wasn't that voice the one who pulled all the strings? Why did it cut off? In his gut, an unsettling feeling began to stir in his stomach. It felt black, and twisted in his stomach.
He's never felt so much dread before.
