OOC Rules
Rule One: Post Length
Please note that most people residing in this dream either semi-para, para, or multi-para. To keep up with other dream members, please keep your posts in that format, and relatively grammar-mistake free. Now, please don't be mistaken, we aren't going to be grammar nazis, not at all, and if someone is being relatively overbearing over your mistakes, that's heavily frowned upon. 3+ lines are acceptable.
Rule Two: Character Creation
While we do accept many different designs and abilities, and most characters do end up getting accepted, please also fill out an application for a character just so we can have documentation of what types of powers you have, and so on and so forth. This is more to be a status sheet than anything, but at least here we'll be able to tell you if a certain power seems too outlandish or godly. Someone will confront you about this if you do not follow this rule.
Rule Three: Harassment
Harrassment will not be tolerated in any way. If one is accusing someone of harassment you are required to give logs to the rah, as proof of said harrassment. There, the Rah of the dream will speak with the accused, and take disciplinary action if he/she gives any more problems of the sort. Harrass, and you will be warned/banned.
In Character Rules
Rule One IC: No Godmoding
Godmoding is creating your character to be overly powerful/invincible, or controlling another player's character without permission through your posts. It will NOT be tolerated, and you will recieve a warning. If you continue to do it, you will be banned.
Rule Two IC: No Autohitting
No autohitting. At all. This is when you automatically post that a player opponent was hit by your attack. It will only be allowed if you had discussed it with the player beforehand.
Rule Three IC: Dice
Dice will only be used at the players' discretion. The system includes 1D2(Two being miss, One being hit) for attacks, 1D2 for Defense (Two being Hit, one being miss), and 1D4 for attack strength (1 being glancing blow, 2 being minor hit, 3 being major hit, 4 being severe hit) You can decide the injuries on yourself.
NOTE!!!! This is not a mandatory thing, you may free play if you like. I rarely use the dice system myself, but this will make it fair for major battles/Quest battles.
Common Medieval Knowledge
Please note that this a strict roleplay area, however, it is also a strict accuracy-to-era dream as well. Please note while YOU may think that some punishments are over the top MODERNLY, it was common in medieval times for torture to be used even for something as trivial as stealing a piece of bread.
Please also know that the king is SOVEREIGN, as well as are any of his nobles. ANY threat towards the kings life WILL be thought of as high treason, and be dealt with as such, through historical accuracy. It's not to be a douche, it's to remain true to the time period.
Example: So and so gets angry at the king and spits in his eye.
King promptly *if no guards are around to seize the individual* beats him senseless and sends him to the dungeon.
In medieval times, disrespect towards any royalty was viewed as a crime of nature, as many kings were viewed as 'appointed by the gods/god'. There are a few resources posted up on the forum for you to read and get acquainted with.
ADDED RULES:
1]There is to be no sexual RP done anywhere near public areas, the only areas it is permitted is in your own apartments (if you have one) The tavern rooms, or whispers. If we catch ANY sort of sexual interactions going on in public, you will be ejected from the dream and warned.
2] ANY form of rape will NOT be tolerated, not only because it is in the Furc TOS as a big nono, but it is also something that is a very sensitive subject amongst many players.
3] Any sort of child molestation/pornographic scenes (oh yes, we've had problems with this) are not allowed, this includes even MENTIONING it in passing in an IC roleplay. I don't tolerate people who play others that defile and deflower children. Period.
