I know we're sorta leaving things up to the artists as far as story goes but what if we come up with vague plots to help guide the other artists and help make it easier? It wouldn't be like we were plotting it out from start to finish but I may help with the driving force in the story.

We could even get non artists to suggest little things? I thought of his the other day but I've been incredibly busy. Reading the entry here about writers again reminded Me of it. C:. I have a hard time drawing comics without a plot even if its small. Unless there was one preplanned that I overlooked? I am pretty daft so it happens haha!

But yeah it's a thought!
I was going to make a thread like this in a few days when character applications were getting close to finishing up. But since you've done this for me, I guess we should start now! I'll even make a proper announcement :D.

Discuss the characters and what relationship they have with each other. I think the story would feel more realistic if there's some prior relationship between some of them, rather than having them all meet by chance. Also, feel free to talk about plot points, although it's a bit hard to do with with solid detail without knowing how Lily is going to start us off.
And I'll just start by saying, I hope that Kara and Sidd don't know each other before the start of the story. I think it'd be sooooo cute to see them meet for the first time :D
Haha yeah. 8D.

I'm not sure who Pan would know if she lives all up in da woods yo. Maybe Marlon? Since he seems to reside in the same environment. Might make an interesting combination anyway. But I don't want to force it! :D. Just a suggestion. You created him, right? If you're against it or would prefer something else, that's cool too!

I'm honestly interested in how they're going to make Pan express herself since she's unable to talk. I probably should've made a character I didn't want lol the more I look at her lil profile the more I wish I did something else lmao (only because I'm selfish <3). This'll be fun though. :D
Kara and Sidd actually have met before XD Sorry! He met he by chance and hoped she could help with his... issues. She can't. She actually makes his outbreaks worse due to her powers. Sidd's powers aren't fully evolved yet. When they are he'll be able to adapt his body to the needs of the environment. Like if he needed to go swimming, he'd grown gills etc. But since he's not quite there yet, his powers kind of go crazy around her trying to figure out what they're supposed to be doing.

As for Sidd and Millie.... Sidd's got an immediate thing for her. She's so pretty and all... but there's not much going on in her head. So he shows his feelings like any other boy; he makes fun or her and pranks her relentlessly. Until she starts crying. And then he doesn't know what to do and probably turns blue in panic.
Aaa yes. I think that Pan, Marlon and maybe also Millie would probably at least be aware of each other. I don't know what kind of relationship Pan and Marlon would share. I don't think she'd be the kind to put up with him.

Maybe a potential subplot would be one of the characters helping her learn the common tongue. It could be really cute watch her learn and grow.
It'd be interesting! Teaching a character words she can understand, but without her being able to even say a thing.

I'm not really too sure what kind of relationship Pan and Marlon would have, either. She probably knows of him, at the very least (I imagine). I imagined her as a fighty kind of character, but not to the extent where she'd seek it out or love it or anything. May even avoid Marlon because of his overall attitude too, I DUNNO 8D.

I can see if she and Millie did know each other, I imagine she'd be excessively protective over her.

That's a pretty complex back story. Perhaps I should add this to both of their character profiles.

(also, sorry I wrote Millie before ;~; I got the names confused)
Millie can know pretty much anyone, she's sociable, and almost too friendly to everyone she meets. She tends to be overly touchy feely, and a little bit clingy. Everyone she meets is instantly her best friend, at least on her end, this may or may not make other characters uncomfortable.

She ADORES Sidd, even though he makes her cry all the time. XD However she is clueless to his affections, or anyone elses for that matter.

Because Pan is so small, and Millie so dumb, I'm thinking that no matter how many times it's explained to her, that she may react to Pan as if she's a child. XD

THAT WOULD BE SO CUTE. SO CUUUTE.

All the cute up in here hnngh.

Pan's still pretty young so at least some of it's justified! Especially since she's half-elf or whatever.
Just so y'alls know, for the opening I plan doing simple introductions, rather than start the plot. I think that way then we'll have a good starting zone and I can paint trees and I like painting trees. Trees are cool, yo. If y'all don't like this idea you can shove a stick up your butt (totally not true. As a Canadian, I would never actually say that to anyone and I'll just do whatever you tell me to.)
How do you intend to do that? Have them be some kind of adventuring party right off the bat?

Don't feel the need to introduce ALL the characters right away! We can meet more as the story unfolds! I think interaction between characters as they meet is very important :D. Also it's much less pressure for the first few artists because we don't have to worry about so many people as we get this story started!

Also, I was thinking more about Marlon and how he'd fit in the grand scheme of things because he's really unpleasant and I don't think many of the characters would want anything to do with him. I think it hinges on Gregor - he has enough physical power and enough political beef that he could keep Marlon on a short leash. He'd still be a greedy little imp, but at least he would be civil.

Possibly Sidd could also keep him on a leash if one of his 'episodes' scares him sufficiently, but I think it would only be temporary.
An introduction to the world, rather than just characters. I'm thinking forests and Millie for sure, otherwise I'm still unsure.
Though, I presume there will be an objective for their adventure. What sort of quest should they go on?
OO OO CAN I INTRODUCE PAN? I know she's not exactly mine but I love the concept and wanna play with it haha. uwu.

Trying to think of a quest... maybe there's an artifact they need? Hm. I actually have a list of quests from a FUDGE game I never got around to finishing with the bf. I could post a few of them here! I even have a very elaborate map I've created if you guys wanna use it! :D. I'll post a pic of it below along with a link.

A sick aristocrat man named Borin seeks a party to discover the fate of his son and wife in the Pichila Forest. It turns out they’ve been dead for decades and he sends countless adventurers to the forest to find them, only to find an old and overtaken home with paintings of him, a woman, and a young boy.

A random square mile of mazes, sometimes screaming can be heard from it and someone probably wants a party to investigate. Maybe they lost someone there? At each dead end, there’s either something interesting like a ribbon, coin, bottle of ale, etc., or a creature of some sort. Sometimes they’re tied up humans or elves or something like that, and sometimes they’re guardian monsters on extremely long chains.

Empty Opal Castle in Farbend Mountains: The entire castle is constructed out of a white marble. The castle is empty as far as life goes, though there is a statue that seems to move. It follows the group. There’s a stressed groan, the kind a building would make if it was too heavy for its supports or if it was leaning too far to one side and threatening to fall, that becomes clearer when the statue is near. They find countless valuable items such as priceless vases and silver chalices. However, one room they find is filled to the brim with new and old corpses as well as ancient skeletons. Eventually, the statue corners them and springs to life (it cracks and explodes into shards like it was inside a shell, leaving behind a more flexible version of itself).

LOCATIONS:

Jungle of Ruins: A city of stone buildings, crumbled and old. It’s on a very flat plot of land, covered by gray cobblestone. The whole place seems monotonous and is sitting beneath a perpetual rainless lightning storm.

Awfield: Population 3200, mixed human and elf. The town is a tangle of narrow streets and row buildings. It is ruled by a tyrant, the elf lady Burga. Awfield has many forges, and its sky is filled with black smoke.

Falumen: Population 1300, mixed human and dwarf and gnome. The town is encircled by a crumbling stone wall. It is governed by a consortium of wealthy merchants, whose weekly meetings often turn into drunken brawls.

There is a canyon with lots of giant stone carvings and reliefs in its walls. Some simply faces and some extending beyond just a bust. Either way, they’re extremely massive.

RANDOM:

Destroyed Ship on the edge of a waterfall, held in place by massive rocks. Lights are still on. It is filled with undead and a necromancer or lich or whatever. Have party slip down waterfall and K.O.

Trapped! -- The Warriors have just begun to explore a dungeon when the door collapses, sealing them in the complex! Unable to dig out, they are forced to find a separate exit from this place.

But yeah, seems like that whole word is being pushed aside. I had lore and everything sldkjflksjdf. RELIGION EVEN BLUH. So yeah, we can use this if you guys want. No worries though.

Hnng I guess I should reply to this.

To be completely honest I'm 100% okay with using this. I like the world and I like the map, and I think in the long run it'd be easier to write the story. It might be more restrictive, but it'd also make the story more homogeneous between each artist.

But at the same time, I don't want to thrust it upon the other artists, so I'm really hesitant to say "YES LET'S DO THIS" even though I want to XD.

Sooo, I'd appreciate if you give your opinion - both for and against it. If it seems to be popular, I'll make a group page with the info.
Yeah I definitely wouldn't want to force it on anyone, but I figure it may help a little bit, even if we only used the map and created our own adventures. The map would make it easier to track where they're going and what they're doing, and also sorta... Idk, help keep from getting confused. I DUNNO that's just me though I get confused super easily.

But hey - it's a map, it's there, why not? Most of the places have really been fleshed out so there's freedom when it comes to everything but the name.

But it's completely understandable if most of you guys don't want to use this. It's just an option. <3.

But maybe we should take a poll? :D.
