Some unfinished ideas:
Bastid (By KingoftheArrows)
Bastids have massive, bulky bodies. Two large, curved horns protrude from both sides of their jaw. They have a rough skin complexion with colors ranging from yellow to red. Bastids are strong master craftsmen, being able to create strong weapons and armory--though their technology is not as advanced as the IC or UA. The Bastid population has decreased since the arrival of the IC, many leaving their homes to be a part of the IC. The rest of the Bastids live on Bunglonda, scattered across different regions. They no longer have a main country.
Sartak History (Me)
The Tribal Advance (500 J.R. [Jarix Rising])
Five Hundred Years of recorded history go by without advancement for the Jarix beings, but they start finding more advanced ways of life. 500 J.R. marks when tribes of Jarix start to inhabit Sartak.
The Monarch (550-630 J.R.)
Fifty years after the Tribal Advance, the Jarix evolution speeds up and a strong tribe of Jarix invades the others and creates a Monarchy that rules every tribe in the land. Many tribes were destroyed from resisting the Monarchy.
The Fall of Civilization (700-770 J.R.)
The monarch well and destroyed left Sartak to themselves after the iron fist rule of the Monarchy and civilization broke up. This dark age was known as the Fall of Civilization.
The Blood Oath (800 J.R.)
The Jarix create a new system of government. Tribes were formed once more, and the bloodthirsty Jarix agreed to go frank each tribe and give high benefits to the top ranking tribes.
The Caravan of Hope (Modern)
Years went by and the Jarix never advanced past the Blood Oath until a starship crashed on Sartak. The Jarix were introduced to the world beyond their own planet and some began seeking lives of adventure beyond their own planet.
Mechs (Dunlukdun)
Mechs built around 15 ft. tall and transported in large military hangers for land invasions. Full topic.
Tao (FlamingPsycho)
Race of cat creatures. Full topic.
The Gorram (Caliburn)
Race of slug/lizard type creatures. Full topic.
Large Corporations of Earth and Synths (Me}
The different corporations that are in control of Earth as well as synthetic humans created by one of those groups. Kind of tech power struggle i thought might be cool (more info on own topic)
We are also actively adding more regions to the map and fleshing out the timeline!

I'm going to add some other UA Military info here to discuss whenever.
For the Cosmic Explorers, I see them being both a research and diplomacy group overall, so they would travel in individual ships as to be able to work quickly and not scare unknown alien creatures. Each ship would be assigned a system, planet, etc. to explore and research on, and so they would have a group about as follows, possibly having more depending on the job:
A pilot to steer and navigate, as well as act as the crews captain. Would also have the responsibility of charting their course.
A mechanic with the technical skills to keep the ship in working order. Would require the ability to pilot the ship if necessary in emergency situations.
A small research team of 3-5 people for keeping logs, experimenting, and keeping samples. Would also include someone with basic medical knowledge.
A diplomat to work with alien species and attempt to keep relations well.
At least one skilled soldier for emergency situations.
Several strong arms for helping with menial tasks, acting as backup soldiers, etc. Well rounded individuals.
So a crew might have anywhere between 7 and 15 people depending on the projected dangers of the mission or anything other factors they might want to consider.

Structure of UA
The United Alliance keeps it's different sectors of government separate from one another as much as possible to keep everything fair, similar to how former United States of America had their government structured.
Leadership Sect
This Sect includes the President of the the UA as well as other elected decision makers, making up her/his Advisors. Despite the title, they sit with the President and vote on important decisions and can overrule their decision if a certain amount of them agree on it. This Sect also includes the various departments and their elected heads, these departments include Transportation, Agriculture, Foreign Relations, Trade, Education, and more, each keeping their respective infrastructure in check.
The Development Sect
This Sect includes the best and brightest minds that UA has to offer, working under the government, despite being independent researchers and business owners who can sell their inventions and work as they see fit, under federal restrictions. The decision to make scientists, researchers, and engineers a sector of the UA government came very early in their forming as they wanted to make sure dangerous and world-destroying technologies.
The Military Sect
This sect includes the six branches of the UA military: The Star Fleet, The Cosmic Explorers, The Crown Guard, The Military Police, and the Special Forces, as well as the Cadet Corp. recruits, though they usually are still citizens by law. The President still oversees this but the important decisions are finalized by the Fleet Admiral, Marshal, Captain of the Guard, etc. depending upon which branch is being mobilized.
The Justice Sect
This sect was added more recently to the government and includes scholars and lawyers that study the law to make sure that they are fair for all citizens and challenge the Leadership Sect if they believe there are problems. Also included in this sect is the court system that offers fair representation for all citizens.
