Evelyn paced around the entrance hall of Sapporo Military Academy, waiting for her peers and her teacher to arrive so they could start their first day of training. She was nervous, terrified actually as she waited, wondering if she shouldn't have arrived quite so early. The entrance ceremony was several hours before, early in the morning, and they were to meet with family and friends to celebrate their acceptance in the prestigious academy. Unfortunately, Evelyn had no friends to meet, and no family within reasonable distance to go see. So there she was, half an hour early, pacing the hall.

She had passed the exams with what she'd consider to be above average for the school, so she was set in that department, but her mind couldn't get off of the fact that she'd be thrown in prison, charged with treason and forgery if she were found out here. She was going to be two years younger and each and every other recruit in her class, meaning she'd have to do her best to fit in and seem like she was right up there with them. She had an ID that she produced with some help from a friend-- a friend scarily good at breaking the law at that-- but she wasn't sure if it'd be enough.

She looked at the clock again, trying to get herself out of her head, at least a little bit. Fifteen more minutes... I have fifteen minutes to prepare.

OOC:
We are still waiting on a teacher character to created for this event (which I will see to myself if it's not done soon-ish) but we can still start getting our recruits to meet each other! Anyone with a recruit is welcome to arrive early and chat about.

Jay
First day. First day of military school. She couldn't believe it. She couldn't believe it! Her entire body shook with fear, excitement and nervousness all mixed into one massive ball of prickly anxiety. It all happened in a blur. She remembered it all. The nerve-racking day of the CAE exam. She vividly recalled spending the night before bent over the toilet, vomiting out her anxieties and flushing them away. Her thoughts turned to the day of the message. She'd been pacing around the house on the day that she was supposed to receive the message. Then it popped up on her screen. The title of the message read, "ACCEPTED". Her heart nearly fell out of her chest.

And then there was today. The first day. The day when her entire life was about to unfold. Her entire family was here. Well, almost. The majority of her extended family was here, save the odd aunts and uncles who didn't really participate in family matters. But that didn't matter. Her family of 30 or so had come to see her off before the ceremony.

She gazed upward at the massive pillars that towered above her. She looked up ahead of her, finding the door that led into the entrance of Sapporo Military Academy. She stood at the entrance, lingering about a few feet away from the door. She stared at the door for a moment longer.

Was this all a dream?

"C'mon, Jay! Just go in!" her father cried. She drew in a long breath. That was all the encouragement she needed. She stepped forward. The doors slid open and she and her two dads entered.

Lyn
Three months, it had been just three months since she had come to the UA. Three months of every possible combination of medical examinations, interviews and treatments. But even after three months, her body still looked sickly.

Now Lyn was standing at the doorway into the entrance hall of the UA's most esteemed academy. Feeling a hand on her shoulder she looks back to see the blonde woman that had been her handler since her arrival in the UA. The woman was acting as Lyn's mother, which was fine. She could barely remember her real parents anymore and the woman was kind. She was the one who had suggested the academy could help Lyn in many ways while also training her for UA military service.

With a guiding hand and a gentle smile from 'Mom' Lyn steps into the entrance hall behind a Martian girl and her parents. Stepping to one side of the hall, she noted that so far only two others had shown up besides herself. For now she would keep to herself and silently watch.
