Serving as the Northermost outpost for the Dwarven Kingdom, Winterhaven is a very young city to Dwarven standards, founded less than a century ago. Nonetheless the surrounding mountains are rich in mineral deposits and the nearby trade hub of the Seven-pillared hall, located deep inside the mountain range, serves as a connection to the Underdark. Both of which make Winterhaven a prime strategic position.
