I have so many suggestions, but I’ll start with some personal favorites!
Wuxia
The whole Shaonian Ge Xing series, both the live action adaptions and donghuas are fantastic. They’re based on novels, and there might be some manhuas, too?
Great Journey of Teenagers is my favorite!
Live Action: The Blood of Youth - It’s on YouTube!
Donghua: There’s three seasons, and it’s usually called Great Journey of Teenagers, but sometimes it’s Youths and Golden Coffin. Season 1 is harder to find, and you might need a subscription.
I’ve started watching, but haven’t finished the Young Brewmaster’s Adventures, either one, but there’s a live action (Dashing Youth) and a donghua—two seasons I think? It’s a prequel to the above.
I started watching Tales of Dark River, which is a donghua. There’s a live action adaptation being filmed at the moment. I think it takes place before Brewmasters, but maybe it’s during it.
Then there’s the Word of Honor donghua (it’s not the same as the Word of Honor/Faraway Wanderers live action) which was interesting, but not finished.
Mysterious Lotus Casebook is amazing—it’s wuxia/investigations, and there’s a three-way bromance. It’s not a BL, technically, but with the way Fang Duobing looks at Li Lianhua, I’ll press X to doubt.
The two best danmei live action adaptations are absolutely The Untamed and Word of Honor. The donghua of the former is The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation (MDZS) and it’s complete and amazing. If you like that, watch Heaven Official’s Blessing donghua, but there’s only two seasons. The books are finished, though, and they’re great!
I loved Sword Snow Stride with my whole heart, even though it wasn’t as good as Joy of Life. Though Joy of Life has more politics and less wuxia, but I’d still call it a wuxia. The MC is the same actor, and I believe it’s the same scriptwriter and production staff? If you like one you’ll probably like both. I think they’re both on YouTube as well.
If you like memes, you’ll want to watch Once Upon a Time in Lingjian Mountain—Xu Kai nails the role. It’s on Netflix. It’s not a bad introduction to the genre, either.

I can give mostly murin recommendations as i am an avid reader. There are a few of the more popular ones that I have not read yet but i can give some thoughts on those i have.
Heavenly Demon Reborn!
Unseong's Master gets accused of practicing Demonic arts and get himself and his student hunted down and killed. Unseong is reborn as a child that is trained for a demonic sect and seeks to rise to the top to enact revenge on those that had wronged him in his previous life.
Father, Unrivalled
A Story about a father that fights to earn money for his children and to protect them after his wife had passed away. This one is quite wholesome at times and is also a finished series.
Reborn as a Scholar
A relentless warrior in his previous Life, the main character is reborn into a loving family that wants him to become a scholar, yet he has plans to resume his martial arts.
Daughter of a Thousand Faces
A daughter of an immortal is nothing but a disappointment to her family till she becomes the student of the arch nemesis of her father, an ancient demon that can shapeshift.
This one is drawn by one of my favourite artist who also drew the covers of the English releases of SVSSS.
Return of the Blossoming Blade
Cheongmyeong and most of the Mount Hua Sect died at the battle against the Leader of the Demonic Cult. Reborn 100 years later as an orphan he decides to return to the sect and rebuild it after it had fallen into ruin in the most chaotic way possible.
RotBB is actually pretty funny because of the shenanigans of Cheongmyeong. Is also pretty well known.
Return of the Mad Demon
The Mad Demon Jaha Lee is sent back in time after eating a strange pill to prevent it falling into his enemies hands. Dedicated to protecting the poor lower working class he goes on to hunt down criminals and evil sects.
One of my favorites. Jaha Lee is a very entertaining character due to how unpredictable he is and because of his extreme mood swings. He is a terrible role model to everybody around him an that is amazing to see. 10/10 can recommend if you like deranged MCs.
