Cast yourself to back to the Dawn of Time - a tribe known as the Helios - the first creation of the Sun God, Apollo - springing to life from his life-force - energy. These tribes were established on various isles around the Mediterranean and Persia and had a very strong affinity with the Ocean. They were humans with olive skin and blue-green eyes, masters at fishing and swimming. However, aside from the physical activities of these tribes - they soon formed hierarchies and order, blessed with the gift of fire from the Deities. Some also held abilities for magic - the Priests and Priestesses.
The priests of each individual Isle, had a role to ensure that the mortals performed tasks in order to keep the peace between Sky and Sea, and each priest owned a crystal of blue that hung about their neck –a symbol of their role and a key to unlocking the knowledge of Nero. This crystal also gave immorality. And soon enough, the people of the Isles turned to creating and forming cities beneath the waters, establishing means and ways of living beneath the waters (perhaps as a god’s blessing or through technology of some description), and founded Atlantis.
However, a mysterious force swept that ancient, ethereal city and its inhabitants from existence, and still people are unsure if it exists today. Those who did survive moved across the Isles, and eventually found settlement in the core of the Mediterranean and the landmark between the East and West – Syracuse. It was here, that the beginnings of the legendary and powerful metropolis first started; a fishing village that eventually expanded through means of having so much wealth in trading goods, that other realms began to see a benefit in forming a contract. Soon enough, the linage continued and eventually, many hundred years later, the Thirteen Cities were created.

However, not all were happy with the conditions of their new home. Especially the inhabitants of the North, belonging to the Itar Region. So, these outskirt nomadic tribes rebelled against the monarchical rule, and formed their own independent Kingdom, naming it Agnel. The Chieftains of each respective tribe then began to settle one by one along the coast, preferring a life of self-sustainibility than allowing outside forces to meddle with their livelihood. They called themselves the Nero Tribes.
This was not to last for long, as one Chieftain betrayed the Tribes to imperialist conquerers of royal bloodline. These conquerers belonged to the West, and were of a more forward, progressive culture than seen by the Tribes. Thus, domination was easily and henceforth, the Barrington Dynasty began.
These colonialist's from the West grew acclimatised to the harsher, colder weather and began to prosper. However, they encountered problems with the natives - being the original nomadic Tribes - but soon quickly eradicated most of this race without much problem, given their more advance technology, gained from their travels.
And so, the legend and culture of the Nomads faded as the years passed, the decades and centuries left them trailing behind. But cradled in Lonepine is the last of this culture, and the last of the Nero - the venerable Chief Skap Alvisson. He longs to preserve his ancestor's culture and is highly suspicious of the activity of both the imperial man and the traveller.
