  • Magefoxes

Occurance: originally foxes that lived in the Kelestrian Plateau, magefoxes are magical descendants of those foxes. When Kelestra was taken by the anthros, some magefoxes settled themselves in Zyfria, and there they developed independently from the other ones that traveled a long way to the far south-east. After the Kelestrian Plague outbreak, Zyfrian magefoxes left the forest, and finally traveled to the far south-east, where they found the other groups. Now magefoxes are only found in the lands of Cey, mostly in the Forest of Cey.

Basic Abilities: magefoxes have the physical abilities of a common fox, except for their number of tails. Magefoxes are born with one tail, and will grow more tails as their magical powers develop. As soon as a magefox develops its first magical powers, it already has two tails, and will grow new ones as they get more powerful and have more control of their magic. Also, as a magefox gets more tails, its lifespan in increased considerably.

Magical abilities: magefoxes are really mages. They study and learn magic, sometimes just practice to increase their powers or make experiences to find new magical skills and effects. Magefoxes with up to five tails usually develop only one or two elements. Six-tailed will probably control a few elements apropriately, while seven-tailed will know how to use many elements. It's possible to grow more tails focusing on very few, or even one single element, but that requires much power, control and knowledge about it. In Zyfria, it was believed that only chosen ones could reach eight tails, but there are several of them living around the world, most of them in the lands of Cey. They're extremely powerful, will have perfected almost all elements or will be absolute in all elements they know if there are just a few. Nine-tailed magefoxes also exist, but there are only three known to reach this level. These foxes are considered gods, and their power cannot be measured precisely.

Communities: magefoxes form communities that are partially like wolf packs and partially like anthro cities. They build simple structures, not as complex as the rixials', and live in groups. They still preserve the distinction of their families, but will care for the common good of all foxes that live around them.

Relations: most of their relations is directed to other packs of magefoxes. The packs usually share a common point of view about magic, and will develop their own manners. Since some groups are very different from others, it's not rare for conflicts between packs to occur. While in Zyfria, a council was created to promote peace between the packs, and it ended with one pack being exiled, and it probably wasn't the first time it happened among magefoxes.

Breeds: magefoxes can't procreate with any other species, but they have an innate ability to adapt to the environment, that will cause drastic modifications on their species within just several generations. The group of magefoxes living in the Mirror Canyon was exposed to the Mirror Crystal, a mineral related to shapeshifting abilities. The result of dozens of generations is that a new sub-species of the magefoxes, called the Mirrors, was born. They lost their magical powers, but developed powerful shapeshifting abilities. Another variation of the magefoxes is actually a genetic mutation which configures a magefox born with wings. In this case, the wings development replaces the tails.

Winged Magefoxes' Development: winged magefoxes still keep the ability to live longer, but it depends on the state of their wings. Those with no magic abilities have tiny wings on their backs. The equivalent of a two-tailed are the ones with small wings, almost the size of their bodies when completely spread. When their wings reach the point with which they can glide, they have magical powers equivalent to those of a three-tailed. When their wings are big enough to actually fly, they have reached the level of four tails. When they would get their fifth tail, their wings are affected by their primary element, becoming elemental wings, that can be covered with that element or returned to normal at will. The equivalent of six tails are bigger elemental wings, the maximum size they will ever reach. As they reach the power of a seven-tailed fox, they grow a second pair of wings. Winged magefoxes with power equivalent to 8-tailed foxes will be able to change their wings' elements as they please.
  • Wolves

Occurance: wolves live all around the forests of Ayrale.

Basic abilities: they're all just common wolves, except for the fact they can talk. They don't use any kind of technology, not even rustic objects. They don't write texts, and they only use the spoken language.

Communities: wolves live in packs, which claim territories. They take care of their offsrping together, they hunt together and they fight together. Being very social with other wolves, their main advantage is the ability to perform great tasks when they unite. Some communities have religious traits, like believing in spirits and performing simple rituals. None of those are magical though, but it usually involves painting their fur with natural dyes, offering the results of their hunts and other mundane activities.

Relations: wolves learned to respect magefoxes' magic, as they can't match it with anything other than their physical strength and pack tactics. They are a real threat to the foxes communities when they decide to fight, because the less powerful foxes can't protect themselves against their ferocity. However, the powerful mages are nearly invincible against creatures as ordinary as wolves, so major conflicts are very rare. Most wolf packs are neutral to the magefoxes, and just keep living on territories that doesn't share any boundaries with magefoxes' lands. Only a few packs are friends with the foxes, but they usually find the pacifistic relation to be good for both sides.

Breeds: it's not possible for wolves to procreate with magefoxes or any other species. Wolves and foxes just don't relate to each other in such manner, but it's possible to find couples linked purely by affection.
  • Rixials

Occurance: rixials are natives of the Forest of Zyfria, but now that the kelestrian plague spread all over those lands, they had to leave, and traveled west. They now live in the woods closer to the anthros' cities, being found only there.

Basic abilities: rixials are much like common rabbits in terms of physical abilities, and are only a bit bigger than those. Having developed their forepaws into little fluffy hands, they're able of manipulating objects much better than any other non-anthro creature. They build structures, create utensils, clothes and many other kinds of objects. They also learned to use some level of technology they copied from the anthros, and they love trinkets and devices.

Magical abilities: being natives of a magical forest, the rixials learned magic way before the foxes did. However, their innate power is much lower. They usually perform tricks, like illusions, minor healing spells and simple alterations, like speed and strength spells. Their most developed magical abilities related to the alchemy, brewing kinda powerful potions, salves and even explosive mixtures they could use as weapons.

Communities: Rixials are not so tribe oriented as wolves and foxes, but they still live in communities. Their families are not mixed with other individuals' like it sometimes happens with the foxes and always happens with the wolves. They build their homes in burrows or trees, even on treetops, and have their personal properties, setting what works like a tiny anthro city.

Relations: they treat other species as neighboors, and will interact with others as it pleases them. If they need something, they will probably ask for it, and offer a favor in return. However, rixials have no relations to other creatures other than friendship. They only relate more intimately to their own kind.

Breeds: rixials can't breed with other species, but they can produce rixial-rabbit hybrids. The offspring is mostly rixial, but with reduced magical powers (or maybe none). They always keep the physical traits of the rixials. The hybrids are treated as rixials if they breed once again, and will restore the rixial magic on their next offspring if the couple includes no common rabbits.
  • Dragons

Occurance: dragons can live anywhere they want, provided they find a decent place to build their lairs.

Basic Abilities: dragons are large four-legged reptile-like scaly creatures. They have a tail they can use as a natural weapon to strike and sweep their opponents. His sharp claws, teeth and sometimes horns also serve as greatly deadly weapons. They have huge leathery wings which enables them to lift their massive weight and fly. Even though they have a very limited maneuverability while flying, they can get to amazing speeds when going straight forward. Dragons are related to one primary element, and they're completely immune to all forms of it. They also have the ability to breath a cone of energy of that element, such as the classic fire breath.

Magical abilities: despite the dragons' massive physical abilities, they're also amazingly intelligent. They have their own language, the draconic, which they use to describe complex magical formulae most non-dragons wouldn't be able to understand. Their magic is not innate, and they collect vast knowledge along their very long lives. Very old dragons are among the world's most powerful creatures, but they're also very rare and hard to find.

Communities: dragons don't live in communities. They're all solitary and the largest groups of dragons to be found are recently born hatchlings and their mothers (the father leaves as soon as the eggs hatch). The females take care of their offspring just until they can take care of themselves, and that's not much more than a few years.

Relations: when a dragon wants to engage other species, it will usually assume a less frightening form, but many find the intimidation to be quite an interesting feat and won't care about scaring smaller creatures. They have little matters to share with wolves and foxes, and will sometimes deal with rixials for items. They're more related to anthros, since it's in their cities they will satiate their need to manipulate, control and to accumulate treasure.

Breeds: dragons can breed among themselves in any way they like. Usually, the element of the most powerful dragon is passed to their offspring, but sometimes the elements get mixed into a third one. Dragons can use their ability to change their forms to procreate with anthros, resulting in lesser dragons (anthro dragons). Dragon hybrids among foxes are just a myth. Since some magefoxes are born with dragon-like wings and sometimes with abilities similar to those of a dragon, lots of communities are led to believe the relation will produce hybrids.
  • Phoenixes

Occurance: extremely rare. Seeing a phoenix could be considered a sign that something bigger is going to happen.

Basic Abilities: phoenixes are essentially large birds. Their bodies are covered with intensely coloured feathers, ranging from blood red to vivid yellow, and it seems to glow birghtly. They can fly for prolongued periods of time, and can reach incredible heights. They're fast and able to perform almost impossible maneuvers. When flying too fast, a phoenix's body is completely covered with fire. Phoenixes are powerful fire elementals, but also very wild.

Magical abilities: phoenixes have all sorts of fire-related abilities. They're immune to fire, can create fire gusts and blasts and they're said to be able to dive into lava suffering no damage. When they're completely covered with fire, they can proceed and turn all their bodies into fire, making them invulnerable to physical threats. Phoenixes don't have any spoken language, and can't manipulate any kind of objects, but they have a primal kind of telepathy, that enables them to communicate through their emotions and sense other creatures feelings, making it possible to reach a limited level of understanding. Phoenixes have short lives, just like a fire that burns intense and dies quickly. However, when they are about to die, they can combust their entire bodies and condensing the resulting energy into a new phoenix egg. It is said that a phoenix can only be killed if its egg is destroyed.

Communities: since phoenixes only inhabit unreachable places, such as isolated islands and absurdly tall mountains, no communities were ever spotted.

Relations: phoenixes are among the wildest creatures, and treated as neutral forces of the nature. Looking for a phoenix is madness, but when a phoenix comes to another creature, it's usually something very important, but also almost incomprehensible. Phoenixes won't attack other creatures unless they feel threatened.

    Breeds: unknown.
