The fur of a nemateelu is black, though in some cases various degrees of albinism have been shown to cause the fur to range from a dark grey all the way to stark white. Should they have hair it is always white or silver in color. Their eyes vary in color, typically shades of green, blue, white, silver or gold - the latter is extremely rare and typically means the nemateelu has a strong affinity for death. All nemateelu have wings that are either draconic or raven in design and match the color of their fur.
The height of nemateelu varies, ranging anywhere from five feet to seven feet. The large the nemateelu the more dominating they are. They're surprisingly light as well, the bone structure being hollow so as to enable them to fly. They have no natural markings; however, packs and families do mark each other - the process involves carving markings into the flesh then adding an agent that removes the pigment and causes the fur to grow in white. Nemateelu are naturally very sweet smelling.

Dragonic winged nemateelu are the larger and more dominant of the race, often topping out at over seven feet in height and often on the short tempered side. These creatures can be fiercely protective and bordering on vicious if they think their loved ones are threatened. Due to their massive size they have evolved leathery draconic wings, sometimes covered in fine feathers between the bones, and a much larger wingspan to support their heavier weight.
Feather winged nemateelu are the smaller of the species and generally considered to be the closest a nemateelu comes to being female. They are usually gentler and more submissive, however they are known to be very maternal and fiercely protective over their families.
