By dishes, I really mean any implement you use to eat/drink/nutrify your mortal body. Or immortal body. Or whatever, y'know.
I personally am a little picky about what cup or glass I use to drink cold beverages, like a tall v.s. a short glass for water, a plastic cup or a mug for juice or milk or whatever.
But mostly it's just coffee and tea cups. (There's a science behind it, really! There is!)
I like mugs for cocoa, and more delicate cups for tea or coffee depending on how I'm taking it that day.
I'm not overly picky about spoons. :P
What about you guys? Any tricky tableware that ticks you off? :)
The two that come to mind are straws when drinking milk or water (just those two, and mainly water) and plastic cups. I prefer glass cups, as plastic always seems to cling to any excess dishwasher detergent it can.
i think any cup or plate that keeps smell really well should be 360'd into the sun
I know some people who refuse to drink from plastic, when possible. It's pretty funny.
Meja,

Reused paper plates. 😈
I like to use tiny spoons when eating ice cream so it lasts longer.
I admire, like, and appreciate delicate items... but... I'm clumsy.
I love to use big spoons & forks.
My company went through a period of tumbler-giving one year so I have all these vendor tumblers. And, I of course fell in love with the custom tumbler trend. I'm very fond of anything that will keep my beverage cold

I like those deep plates? Essentially a wide and flat bowl. Very appealing.

I LOVE earth ware and pottery. I inherited some fired items from a friend and they are THE sturdiest and most unique mugs and bowls.

I also have a weakness for collecting silly mugs. Like Pusheen or Halloween themes.

*Confession: I have an extremely irresistible habit of shaking the milk jug like it needs... it?????
I have certain requirements for my coffee cup. It has to be a mug really, a ceramic one, with a full handle that I can get all four of my fingers through. I hate too-small-handled mugs. Also, those dainty china round-hole handled teacups just don't cut it for coffee. IF I am having High Tea at the house, then those come out, for its tea, and daintiness. XD
