The gym's challenge involves the challenger taking part of one Cain's sermons, if the challenger can stay awake and obtain at least a 60% on a quiz after the sermon, they will take part in a 3v3, single battle with Cain. Upon defeating him, he will reward you with the Earth Badge.

His puzzle involves the challenger taking part of an identification quiz, they must be able to correctly identify three out of the five Pokemon before Elijah will battle them in a 3v3, single match. Those who win will be awarded with the Blazing Badge.

The Gym Leader, Penny, is known for being a highly intelligent, but timid and soft spoken individual. Her battle strategies and ability to consistently wow her challengers are matched by few, but unfortunately her timid natures causes her to occasionally forgo her strategies. Despite this, she is a threat to be reckoned with and should never be underestimated. Her team consists of a Cottonee, Jumpluff, Lilligant, and Ivysaur. Her puzzle involves trainers being required to pass through a corn maze while battling any of her assistants along the way, if they come across them of course. Once they've reached the other side, Penny will engage them in a 4v4, double battle. The winners will be awarded with the Forest Badge.

Her puzzle involves the trainer sliding across some ice as they attempt to navigate their way towards Nicole. Once they reach her, they will engage in a 3v3 triple battle. The winners will be awarded with the Icicle Badge.

He is rather popular with ladies thanks to his kindhearted and loving personality, and for his unique selection of Pokemon. His battle style is rather straight forward, he generally prefers using brawn over brain. Unlike the other gyms, he doesn't have a puzzle and will generally jump straight into a 3v3, single battle. His team consists of Shelgon, Deino, and Gabite. Defeat him and he shall bestow upon you with the Fang Badge.

The Gym Leader, Oliver and brother of Champion Octavia, is best known for his brash and arrogant ways, he believes he's superior to anyone and everyone, including his sister. Despite that, he is generally considered to be one of the weakest gym leaders due to his predictable battling style. He has a team of Onix, Aggron, and Gigalith. His challenge involves trainers simply climbing up a tall rocky wall, once they reach the top, Oliver will challenge them to a 3v3, single battle. The winners will receive the Stone Badge.

The Gym Leader, Sienna, is known for really going all out on her American football themed gym. Everything from the field to the badge is themed after American football. Her trial is arguably the most difficult to do; the trainer will be required to do four things. First, they will have to perform a receiving touchdown, meaning the trainer will catch the ball and then be required to run it into the end zone while avoiding the various Pokemon that impede their progress. They must do that within four tries. Next, they must perform a rushing touchdown; they'll receive the ball from the quarterback and then be required to run it into the end zone within four tries. Next, they will be required to intercept the ball within four tries, and finally they will be required to kick a field goal from the 35-yard line within four tries. Each of these trials will be attempted from the 35-yard line. If the trainer succeeds, they will battle Sienna in a 3v3 rotation battle. Her team consists of Machamp, Lucario, and Mienshao. The winner will receive the Football Badge.

The Gym Leader, Salina, is best known for her adorable appearance and skill in battle despite being blind. She has been known to battle relying on her hearing in order to figure out what her opponents are up to. Her bonds with her Pokemon are strong enough that she can practically hear their very thoughts. She is considered to be among the toughest trainers in all of the region. Her trial consists of a simple maze, requiring the challenger to find her before she'll battle them. Once they've found her, they will be required to take her on in a 4v4 double battle. Her team consists of a Meowstic, Alakazam, Gallade, and Gardevoire. Winners will receive the Eye Badge.

They are able to take many hits, but they can't do much damage in return. His team consists of a Steelix, Metagross, Skarmory, and Ferrothorn.

The third of the Elite Four, Eren. he is a cold, intelligent, and calculating member of the Elite Four. He is currently married to fellow Elite Four member, Eden, and despite having a polar opposite personality, the two share a powerful relationship. He is a master of Ekectric-type Pokemon. His Pokemon are blindingly fast, but they suffer from defensive and offensive problems, they are unable to deliver hard hits and cannot take many of their own, but their immense speed will cause anyone some problems. His team consists of a Raichu, Galvantula, Manectric, and Zapdos.

Her Pokemon are fairly balanced for the most part, their defenses being their most impressive stat. Don't let Eden's childish demeanor fool you, she's a force to be reckoned with. Her team consists of Florges, Sylveon, Azumarill, and Klefki.

This happy, loving couple is unique in the fact they're the only champions that actively take part in a tag battle. The two of them are known for battling in perfect sync with one another, so much so that they can practically read the others mind. Samuel is a master of Poison-types and has a team that consists of Tentacruel, Crobat, Dragalge, Gengar, Beedrill, and Venusaur while Octavia is a master of Water-types and has a team of Tentacruel, Blastoise, Gyarados, Milotic, Empoleon, and Samurott. They'll both use three Pokemon at random, but neither of them will go down without a fight. Samuel plays by a more defensive side while Octavia plays on a more offensive side.
