Alright, we can go ahead and start discussing what we'd like to do for our adventure.
The only things I have set in stone for my trainer is my future team and his goal to become the champion of Isla Sol. So, why don't we decide what our goals are and whether or not any of our trainer have prior connections before beginning their journey.

I have Eto's team set in stone. If allowed, I might have her achieve Mega Evolution with her Absol, but late Rp.
I think her goal will be to complete the pokedex, and perhaps get to battle the Elite Four then the Champion, though she doesn't wish to become Champion. She will probably collect gym badges on the way as well.
I think she should be a stranger from Sienna City. She will be very odd and distant, rather creepy, but overall pretty friendly to other trainers and pokemon. Though hard to get close to, she can be won over with snacks and pokemon battles, and become a loyal friend.
Around 15 years old, and she only battles with pokemon who have the fiery passion to battle, and won't force them if they don't like battles.
More will be revealed later, but with her common goal simular to Joe, she might become a friendly rival.

I was planning for mine to be sixteen, and I believe Gab's was fifteen and ten.
I'll be getting a starter together up soon.

My guy is from Kalos, and grew up alongside their Punks making minor trouble. So Xolo's goal to start is becoming the Top Punk of this region, and if the region doesn't have a huge Punk Trainer scene, he wants to create one.
As time goes on, though, that will probably shift because he's only bent on being top dog like that for the attention. Like, he wants to come off as this tough-as-nails, bad boy kind of guy. But he's really a big nerd with a heart 3 sizes too big, so he's not actually that good at being a delinquent.
He'll probably decide his real goal after traveling with everyone for a while and seeing how many options are actually available. And it might wind up involving either skating or cooking. Possibly both if he can manage it.

That's perfectly okay, shiny starters are possible in the games, so there's no reason why his Venipede couldn't be shiny as well
