RR: *doing her best to put the innocent teenager act back on* Hey, that's me!
II: *waving to who she can only assume is Luke* Over here.
II: *waving to who she can only assume is Luke* Over here.
*with a nod, first to the two of you, then to the customer going to pay for their meal, he comes over, and takes a seat* "Well, what can I do for you? Special order? Trade for goods? Or did you want to talk with my wife" *the faint smell of oil, both cooking and otherwise hangs about him* *he does seem to have a ring made out of an orange gem, no metals or anything*
RR: *looks to Abby* Trade, right?
II: Yeah, if we can. We've been sent on a shopping trip by old Artiesprite--
RR: --our master back out east.
II: Super cool inventor guy. Works with wraiths.
RR: And he wants us to buy another one, so...
II: Those really nice guards outside said we should talk to you!

"Ah..." *he seems not 100% sure what to say* "well, the only wraith I've got is the one makin my machine possible. And it was my wife who had actually managed to catch it when she went out a few years ago into demon territory... If you wanted any chance of catching, buying, or better understanding a wraith, you'd want to talk to her."
*the automated machine calls out,"number; 70"* "and you could've picked a better town to visit. The Capitol is bound to have everything you could ever need for any experiment. This place is just a humble little gilding town"

RR: Okay. Can we talk to her?
II: And if we can't get one here, then we can get a souvenir and move on. *gets up to get her card, taking out some boon coins*

"Sure, she's just upstairs." *stands as well, leading the way towards a side-door*
*the machine voices the price, the tube ready to have coins dropped down it so you can take your Mac* "price; 0G. 1S. 1R."
*the man sees the fancy flashing coins, stops, and says,* "woh, hold on there. this thing isn't going to be able to read that. if your wanting to pay with those, i'll have to try and figure out the exchange value. and ifin it proves to be something not in any log, we'll have to barter out a price. Sorry if i'm not going to be able to trust you on any relative values on them ifin they're not logged." *he's sounding a bit stern about the unknown coin... false funds are not something he wants to end up with*

RR: Oh...
II: Ah, shoot. First the cloak and now this. I really gotta get it into my head that we're not at home anymore. Sorry about that. Are boondollars no good here?

"Well... ... ... they certainly look like they might be good. Tell you what. If I can't find any record of them as a real coin, i'll treat them like Silphires." *points at one of the flashing coins. a 5 boon coin* "even if its not coin, its still a nice little trinket, and i'd buy them off you. that sound fair?" *drops some of his own coin down the tube to let you take your mac so the line can move on... he's yet to find the perfect logic behind multiple, orders, created in order of time to make, so the previous order has to be accepted or manually canceled to continue* *the machine says,* "thankyou. ... order; 72."
*the man continues on into a back room designed for working out trades. various exchange charts mark the walls, most particularly a diagram on the local coin*
*Rubits are the cheapest. they are copper, round, and have a lone tiny ruby in the center... 5 Rubits are equal to 1 piece of Silphire, and 1 whole Silphire is made up of 5 pieces... Silphires are silver, pentagonal, and each potential piece has its own tiny sapphire in the center... and then there are Gilded garnets. they are gold, shaped like a star, and have various colors of garnet in the center of each possible piece. they can be cut into 6 pieces, and it is carefully mesured out so that the center has the same mass as the corner pieces. 1 piece is worth 5 Silphires... 5R=1SPart. 5SParts=1S. 5S=1GPart. and 6GParts=1G*
*the man has taken a book down from a shelf, and is looking through real quick, glancing at charts*
((one Siilphire part is about 1$ for trans-dimentional exchange values))

II: Yeah, that sounds great!
RR: If it isn't too much trouble.
*Abby takes her mac, isn't really sure if she should take it into the back room though, so she hands some more boons to Sophie and then goes to sit down again. Sophie follows Luke into the back room*

*the man is looking through the books, but he's not seeing anything like the boon coins* "may I please see one of your coins real quick? and is there a name for this currency?" *he's slotted a magnification lens over one of his goggle lenses*

RR: *passes him a coin* Boondollars. Or, just boons.

*no one else seems to have entered the shop to punch a card, so the number calling stops*
*accepting the coin, he starts examining it closely* "boons, huh. Interesting..." *he flips back to the index, checking for coins with B* *the only notable entry reads, 'Bejewelian currency'* "welp, no entries. And there's a limit to how many I'd buy as trinkets. It'll certainly be good for paying for the brunch, but I think we should talk to my wife about this. It's a very serious proposition, and I will not be sayin yea or nay without talking to her about it." *he gets up, and opens the door in the back of the room, leading up a set of stairs*
*at the top would be a hallway with 5 different doors. Leading to the first door on the left, he knocks* *a voice from the other side says,* "who was it that called you up front honey? Was it the tomato kid?"
*responding, the man says* "it's someone here with a rather particular request." *he nods to you to let you respond*

RR: *she doesn't have to reach very far for timidity... this whole situation is just making her uncomfortable. She can pretend like the darkmatter's cloak around her is a sort of hug, though, so that's nice. And the bandage keeps her calm no matter what she's feeling* Hi, um... Our master sent us from out east--he's an inventor, he wants another wraith for his work. And when we got to this town, the guard said to come here and see if we could make a trade. ...I'm starting to realize, this might be a lot more complicated than I thought.
II: *she assumes everything's fine and keeps eating*
II: *she assumes everything's fine and keeps eating*
*from the other side of the door,* "oh? your master is investigating wraiths? mmmh. just a moment..." ... ... ... "ITS PERFECT! ok, you can come in now so we can talk about it!" *a latch sound can be heard, and the man opens the door for you*
*inside, a lady cloaked in blue, with lines of lime pattern going along the edges, with a cyan hood over her head can be sitting on the ground on the opposite end of the room... in the center of the room, a low, flat stone of some kind can be seen, a crystaline blue orb floating barely above it, energy swirling within. the carpet has a number of lines along it, connecting in star shapes with little stone stands holding other crystals in some form of magical matrix... old wooden shelves line the walls, filled with a few seemingly random stones, crystal shards, a few books, some potions, and material samples. a little pull-lever can be seen up against the wall behind her, and it looks to connect to the door. in her hand, she is holding a lens of some kind, made up of clear crystal, with a solid, flawless golden band around it*
*she looks very happy* "So, your master is having issue finding suitable wraiths out there?"
*in the main dining area, a young kid holding a stick with a piece of quartzy granite tied to the end gets up from their seat, despite the objections voiced by the parent sitting on the other side of the table, and he scampers over to where you are sitting* "are you a mage?" *he looks excited, but the parent is starting to get up to stop them from bothering you*

RR: Yes... He's already worked with all the ones back home. I think that makes them unsuitable for new experiments; he says things like that a lot. And he's too busy to go out on his own. So, he sent my friends and I out searching.
II: *he reminds her of the children on Alel, and she smiles kindly at him* No, I'm not a mage. Just a traveler. How about you, are you a mage?

"Keeps control groups does he? Well, I'm afraid you might have come to the wrong town. The guild isn't likely to sell off one of their wraiths, and we certainly need ours for keeping things thinking with my husband's machine."
*Her husband looks proud about the work they both put into it*
"But, if your not in a rush, and you can prove yourself to be an asset, I was going to be traveling back down south into the demon lands to capture more wraiths in a month and a half. I'm just trying to finish off this new device I'm working on." *holds up the lens she has in hand* "its supposed to be able to see inside of magic, and let much of what is unseen be seen. If it works, then it'll be certain to unlock many mysteries about magic. I've had many failures, but just now I managed to perfectly seal the binding about this lens." *she sounds excited. the thrill of discovery and invention*
*... maybe... ... we could possibly complete her device for seeing 'magic' if we had the chance... that might help with things... and if we are unable to buy a 'wraith' here, then maybe finding one out free to ask, or maybe finding another town would be best... perhaps it would be possible to ask to see their wraith for a little bit in exchange for fixing her lens... that would tell us if wraiths are compatible with us.*
"Awww...." *he seems disappointed, but his face lights back up when you ask him about his being a mage* "Yea! One day I'm going to be the greatest mage in the world! I'll defeat countless true shadows, create the Philosophers stone, and be awesome surrounded by the best magics in the world!" *his mom comes up, placing her hand on his shoulder, and says,* "I'm sorry my son was bothering you. we'll be going back to our seats now."

RR: *Well, let's see.* I bet my buddy could help you with that device. They're good with making and fixing things. If they... Oh, but the guards said we had to keep them asleep while we were in the town... *touches the collar of the cloak* They're... a wraith. Things are different here than at home; Master Artiesprite has them all put in cloaks like this.
II: Oh, it's no trouble. Those sound like some great goals.
II: Oh, it's no trouble. Those sound like some great goals.
! "Why, if they could help me finish this soon, then we could leave much quicker. It'd give me much more time out in the field. And I'm certain that if I pop a message on over to the guild explaining things, that we could activate your cloak in this room. And I knew it! I knew that there was more than just vac tubes that they could be harnessed in!" *her husband looks both overjoyed, and crestfallen over his wife's joy at the chance to go out and learn more*
"Yes, they are certainly high goals. I hope you have a nice day." *headed back to their spot, the kid looks back, waving, and says,* "bye bye!"

RR: Do you think--Do you think if they can fix your lens, then they could also have a look at your wraith, to see if the kind you have around here are what Master Artiesprite needs? My buddy has a better sense of that than I would. Did you get it in the south, too?
II: *waves back* Bye bye! *it's nice to be able to interact with someone who has absolutely no idea who she is. The Alelians know the faces of their gods*

"hmm... can you ensure that it would be left perfectly intact? And yes, I did catch it down south. your lucky that brunch rush is over. should be plenty of time to check it before early lunch comers start showing up. Are you ok with them checking it honey?"
*the man says,* "well, as long as its disconnected from the system, I've got the chance to maintain the wire and pipe ends. i'll have to get the special grease from the attic." *with that, he walks off towards another room, one that likely has attic access, with his mind set that even if nothing ends up happening, it would be good to maintain the heart of the system anyway*
