RR: Do you think--Do you think if they can fix your lens, then they could also have a look at your wraith, to see if the kind you have around here are what Master Artiesprite needs? My buddy has a better sense of that than I would. Did you get it in the south, too?

II: *waves back* Bye bye! *it's nice to be able to interact with someone who has absolutely no idea who she is. The Alelians know the faces of their gods*
*a number is called as someone else who had entered gets their order up*

"hmm... can you ensure that it would be left perfectly intact? And yes, I did catch it down south. your lucky that brunch rush is over. should be plenty of time to check it before early lunch comers start showing up. Are you ok with them checking it honey?"
*the man says,* "well, as long as its disconnected from the system, I've got the chance to maintain the wire and pipe ends. i'll have to get the special grease from the attic." *with that, he walks off towards another room, one that likely has attic access, with his mind set that even if nothing ends up happening, it would be good to maintain the heart of the system anyway*
II: *finishes her mac and sits back in her chair, idly looking into her hourglass*

RR: Yes, I know they wouldn't hurt it. They never hurt anyone.
"Very well, I will send a message over to the guild, letting them know you've got to wake your guy up." *taking a small, pointed yellow gem out of one of her deep pockets, she traces it on the large blue orb in the center of the room, before starting to tap away at it like some form of morse code... a minute passes, and a small circle of light facing her starts flashing in return* "they say that they want my observations later, and that its ok ONLY in our home." *she stands, and puts the yellow gem away, getting ready to head down* "they responded fast. they must have a great deal of interest in understanding how to contain wraiths in things other than vac tubes."

*no ones bothering you... you could probably throw your tray away now*
II: *gets up to throw her tray away*

RR: *grins, and strokes the collar of the cloak* Good! Okay, buddy, you can wake up now.
[===] *rising up, they get off of you before showing back up* [===] [=@=]
*She's standing, staring, a wide grin on her face* [==@] please. give. us. the. lens... [=@=]
*she quickly offers it up, barely able to contain her excitement at this miraculous discovery, ideas and theories and innovations rushing through her head*
[=@=] this. will. take. a. moment... [=@=] ... [===] *they close up around the lens*
"oh my goodness, it really is real! Your master is a genius! You have to- err. you don't have to... but it would be perfect if you could tell me everything!"

*wonder if everything in the back is doing good...*
II: *good thought. She goes to peek through the door of the back room*

RR: I don't really understand the technical side of it. Mostly our master has me do other chores, and watch over my buddy when he has a job for them... They do more watching over me, though. I think Master Artiesprite has me "watching" them so that they can help me. Heh. He thinks I don't notice, but I do.
"Oh... very well..." *a moment more, and the darkmatter retrieve the lens* *it looks... familiar... like the seer tool Marlow made a while ago. 3 different crystals protrude from the side of ring, with the now totally clear crystal lens still in the center. the crystals are colored Red, Green, and Blue* [==@] the. lens. can't. be. both. the. projection. source. and. what. you. have. to. look. through... by. placing. these. crystals. here. they. can. transfer. energies. as. needed. and. store. them. when. not. in. use...
*she excitedly snatches it up, and looks it all over* "Its Flawless! and theres. theres at least 3 different new techniques here for me to try and study!" "Thankyou! Lets head on down now" *without even having peered through the thing, she briskly walks out of the room, and starts headed down the stairs*
[==@] ... [=@=] *the darkmatter sneak a 'grin' at you as she leaves the room* [=^=] ... [=@=]

*the back room looks empty, aside from a book resting on a desk, but the sounds of footsteps can be heard coming down some stairs*
RR: *smiles back* Glad we could help! Let's go, buddy. *follows her downstairs*
II: *waits in the doorway until she can see them coming* Oh, good! There you are, El. I was starting to wonder! Did you make a deal?
[=@=] a. deal. has. been. made... we. will. look. at. the. wraith... [==@] *pass through the wall, into the back area* *a thump can be heard upstairs. like a box of stuff was dropped to the floor from the top of a ladder*
"Yes, a deal has been made. Your wraith completed my mana-seer's monocle, and in exchange, you get to investigate the heart of our shop here. also, with this complete, I'll just need a day before I'm ready to head out into demon territory down south. there I could help you capture more wraiths if you need them, as well as some for me... I'm assuming you know the dangers of the demon lands." *shes still looking over the lens, trying to find out how it was constructed so well in such a short time*
RR: Once they see if the wraiths around here are the kind our master needs, we'll know if south is the place to look for them. *she's thinking that it'd be easy enough for them to "disappear" and find a wraith on their own, so they can stop play-acting and get home sooner*
II: Perfect. Fixes the whole money thing, doesn't it? Haha. *that thought hasn't crossed Abby's mind; she's enjoying the act*
"Didn't know there really was more than one kind of wraith. I'll need to look into it. I don't know the purification process myself." *continuing on, she heads back into the main dinning area, headed for another door further back. she makes a brief announcement, taking a bell out of her pocket, and dinging it twice to get the attention of everyone* "We will be taking a brief inoperable time soon. please don't submit any orders, as they will not go through for now." *once in the back room, she pulls on a lever, and a sound on the other side of the wall makes it sound like the card readers have been covered up* *the back room is full of metal pipes, and various pressure dials connected to crystals made to handle automated tasks. thin, sturdy wires all seem to coil around, connecting to everything, leading to something deeper in the mess of metalworking* "right this way, don't burn yourself."
*they both follow, Abby looking curiously at the machinery as they pass*
*there, in the center of the clockwork, a near human sized crystalline tube, its surface only slightly see-though... a dark core with tendrils about it floats inside, flashes going across its surface as it operates all the machines its connected to* *the darkmatter are there, looking at the tube from a short distance away* *the door can be heard opening again. her husband is likely to be here any second with the wire grease* "now, I'll just need to take a moment to properly put it on stand by. unless you need to be seeing it while its operating." *the darkmatter shake their 'head' no*
II: Cool.
RR: *thinking about how it must be hurting the darkmatter to see something hooked up to a mebhanism like this, like they were... It certainly hurts her*
*another moment, as she goes and twists a few valves at the base, and she goes to the wall, unlocking and pulling on a chain* *the flashing across its body stops, and the tube lifts a few feet into the air* *her husband pulls up his gloves, and with a scoop of grease in hand, he goes to treat the wire endings that were under the tube*
"you can check in on it now."
[=@=] thankyou... [==@] ... [=@=] ... [=U=] ... *the darkmatter reach out, checking in on what exactly the wraith is...* [=U=] ... ... ... [~@~] !!! NO! [=T=] no... no... thatshouldnotbepossible... thisshouldneverhavehappened... [TTT] *the darkmatter have slumped to the ground*
*the owners of the place both step back in surprise, the husband bumping his head on the underside of the tube* "you said it'd not break anything. it better be staying un-broken."
RR: *hurries to their side, getting down on her knees and stroking the cloak* What's wrong? I'm here. It's okay. What's wrong?
II: ... *has one hand on the hourglass and the other fingering the chain, in case a quick escape is needed*

*no longer looking to be cheery about the sequence of events, the mage puts away her lens, and puts on some kind of glove with a large white gem in the center* "now your going to be explainin exactly what your talking about right now. I can't stand for this all breakin down and saying wraiths are human or dark or whatnot."
II: *a sharp intake of breath--her eyes flicker from the wraith to the mage, definitely concerned about what that glove does. She will fight if she has to*
RR: *despite everything, she stays calm, she stays where she is, with the darkmatter. Her words are directed to the mage* Please tell me... In this place, what exactly do you think wraiths are?
"the fragments of the intellectual forms of an ancient civilization. Only surpassed in potential by true shadows, which are supposedly fully intact, including violent souls which can spout forth monsters stronger than most any mage will ever see and be able to walk away from... I do not know the purification process." ... "and your 'friend' there is looking to be quite emotional, which is completely unlike wraiths. you sure its not a true shadow, possessing you and using you for its own plans?"

*she keeps her hand ready, in case anything happens*
*her husband is up, a heavy wrench in hand, keeping an eye on the Sylph since his wife has the darkmatter and you covered*
