II: Then let's jump. *passes around the chain again to take them near the town*
RR: *takes the chain*
RR: *takes the chain*
*away from the forest, and onward to a spread out 'suburb'. the houses are all real far apart. plenty of room for grass and the occasional tree between them* *sitting infront of the home closest to you is a healthy looking lemon tree. the home itself is quite sprawled out. it only has 1 floor, and possibly a basement. it looks to be built out of brick, with a normaly tiled roof*

RR: Guess so. *heads up to knock on the door...*
II: *follows*

*a, "just a second" is heard from somewhere inside* ...
*after a moment, the door opens, and a purple humanoid figure can be seen... they seem alot more solid than the other darkmatter forms, having a more definite, 'skin' to be seen... they don't have legs, instead a ever moving 'tail' connecting directly to the ground. they have red-pink hair, and a striped white and red witches hat, pulled low on their face, covering up where their eyes might be* "Hello a-... Hello? Sorry, thats strange. for a moment I thought I recognized the big fella... Well let me not be rude. would you like to come in for tea?"

RR: *glances back at the darkmatter* Yes, please.
II: *does her best not to stare*

[=@=] thankyou.
*she lets you in, closing the door behind you* *she then leads the way to a cozy den, with a fireplace thats notably lacking a chimney, a couple of armchairs, and a coffee table in the center* "feel free to make yourselves comfortable. I'll be back with tea, cups, and kettle in a moment." *formally nodding in a half-bowing kind of way, she leaves for wherever the kitchen must be in this house*
[=@=] [==@] ... [==^] *the darkmatter give you a reassuring look. this seemed to be going well*

II: Huh. Comfy little place. *sits in one of the armchairs*
RR: And a polite host... *sits in a different chair, looking at the fireplace*
RR: And a polite host... *sits in a different chair, looking at the fireplace*
*they soon return, a basket and a kettle in hand. They set the basket on the table, before setting the kettle on a hook over the fireplace, then they raise their arm and point, a magical fire starting in the fireplace* "the water will be a minute. Now, might I ask why you've came here?" ... [=@=] ... Doesthename,darkmatter,meananythingtoyou?
"Mmmh... Sorry, it feels like maybe I should know that name, but I can't recall. Why, is it your name?"
"Mmmh... Sorry, it feels like maybe I should know that name, but I can't recall. Why, is it your name?"
RR: It's what they are. We're looking for more. *she's wondering if this one has been here so long that they're not really darkmatter anymore. Is this a third dead end?*
II: ...

*they put their hand to their chin, frowning slightly* "hmm... Well... Earliest thing I seem to remember is the queen having awoken me and my sisters. And at that point we must have been here for a long time... I'm sorry, but if there is something I've forgotten since then, the queen is no longer around to answer questions." *she opens the basket, setting out small cups and saucers, while the kettle starts to whistle slightly* "ah, just another moment..."

"Yes! Their names are Beldam and Marilyn... I'm Vivian. Might I ask your names?"
*she takes a large coaster out of the basket, setting it on the table, and setting the kettle on top of it*
"Is there any type of tea you prefer?"
[=@=] wearetheheirofheart... Andwedontdrink. Sorry.

RR: My name is Sophie. And, I'm not too picky.
II: I'm Abby. What kinds do you have?
II: I'm Abby. What kinds do you have?
"We have mint, lemon, ginger, herbal mist, coff-tea, deep mint, and cinnamon peppermint." *sets a mint and a cinnamon peppermint bag each in their own cup, and pours in the hot water*
[=@=] ... Umm... Wouldyoupermitustotakealookinsideofyourhearttoseeifyoureallyaredarkmatter?

RR: Maybe we should chat a bit first... if you don't mind talking about yourself, and your world? *thinks that going straight to looking inside her heart would be a bit invasive, since she has no clue what's going on*
II: Mint sounds good.
II: Mint sounds good.
*nods, placing another mint bag in a cup, and pouring the hot water into it* *she then scoots your respective cups towards you, saying,* "Well, we don't get to many people from other worlds, though its happened a few times. hmm. Its a nice place here, even if the threat of possible war always looms overhead... But even when disaster has struck, the people of this land have an incredible understanding of neutral jing. The greater portion of the populace do absolutely nothing to stop attackers, and all that happens is a few people get kidnapped.
Then the few who know how to mount a rescue and storm the castle go and rescue them all. Sounds crazy, but its worked every time."

II: *takes her tea* Thanks. Sounds tense.
RR: At least everyone gets rescued...
RR: At least everyone gets rescued...
"hehaha, it usually is, especially since me and my sisters are among the ones who go out to help rescue everyone after they get kidnapped. I've talked and fought with the attacking kingdom's ruler, and he's actually not really that mean of a guy. he's just got a strong will, and a stubborn attitude. I mean, we at least know that he's taken care to ensure that as few people get hurt whenever he sends minions out to kidnap. And considering how his kingdom is actually a bit more advanced in both magic and mechanics... well, I'd probably be a good life for everyone after some time if either kingdom won out over the other." *she starts drinking her own tea, not bothered by the burning hot fluid* 'Ah...'
II: *yep, the tea's a bit too hot to drink still...*
RR: That's...an interesting situation.
RR: That's...an interesting situation.
"it is, but, we all make due, and our country is kept moving. The job market is kept healthy with the potential distention... I know some folks who'd argue against me, but I honestly think that this is the one, lone instance of a good war. One that's barely a war, where no one gets hurt, and that keeps everyone at a healthy level of activity and development."
[=@=] ... [@==] ... itsnotreallyasgoodasthat,isit?
"mmh... no, not really. rarely, people do end up getting hurt, and there are a few things that are easily ruined by a sudden raid, but I know for a fact that if either side honestly meant real harm, things would be far worse." *she still seems happy about it, enjoying the small talk on political affairs*
