Yes. Smithy wanted Onponn to play the game, for whatever reason he had. It isn't something that's in general a necessary part of growing up. Or a good part. Take it from someone who's played it... I'd do anything, now, to keep the people I love away from it.

It means that MetalDad has a mind made for choice making that is supposed to be equal to any other living being. = = and, MetalDad was planning on trying to find a way to help all the kids grow up faster so they would 'be of age' faster...
