-Daxton grabbed the lizard off his pant leg- "no sassy"
"I'll be the one looking through the tapes, with my associate. I have a diffent assignment for you..."

"So you mentioned earlier. What do you need?"
Khamir was a little surprised that Daxton was keeping him out of this, and wondered about what it meant, though didn't question him on the subject.
Sassy, on the other hand, had plenty to say. She complained at Daxton loudly; those explosives smelled amazing.

-walking over to his computer, he set sassy down in the chair and pulled up the specs on the prison their target is in- "I'm going to be doing a break in and silence mission soon...I need you to look over the prisons plans while I'm dealing with the tapes and work out a route that will have me dealing with the least amount of guards possible in and out"
"Of course. When do you need this ready by?" Khamir came over to look them over, while Sassy tried to jump from the chair onto the table. There was a thump when she missed and fell to the floor.
"as soon as possible, but make sure they are done thoroughly"
-Daxton replied helping sassy up from the ground to the table, before shooting hobbes another message-
TA: come over, I wanna look over some tapes with you

"Yes sir. I'll message you as soon as it's done." Khamir stood up. "Is that all?"
Sassy immediately wiggled her way into the box with a happy chirp.
CC: I'll be right *ver
CC: Just have t* make sure there aren't any bugs planted

-Picking sassy back up, he placed her back on khamir- "no bomb sassy"
"watch her if you can, I don't need her blowing up half the ship"
-with that daxton took the bomb box and the tapes to check the bomb for bugs, and prepare the tapes for viewing with hobbes-

Khamir accepted the lizard. "Uh, ok." Sassy blinked at Khamir, who blinked back at her. He wasn't sure could actually stop her if she decided to make for the bomb again, but for now she seemed content staring him down like she was going to eat him maybe. It certainly seemed like she was trying to establish herself as his boss.
He just let that happen for now.
There was a listening device on the bomb, one that was actually subtle. It was beneath the detonator.
Hobbes arrived shortly, dogmom with them. Hobbes, who had only been allowed to return to work a few days ago. As soon as they'd tried to set foot in the office, Rhuteb had made it clear they weren't allowed to return to work until Hobbes either got a doctor's note, or Daxton said they were well enough.
Even with that, it had been a struggle keeping them down and out of trouble. Dogmom not only didn't let Hobbes out of her sight anymore, but barked and guilt tripped Hobbes into getting back into the damn bed. Who could resist those eyes. But it was working. Hobbes was looking one hell of a lot better now than she had just two weeks ago.

-Daxton deactivated the listening device, and traced it for any additional signals to see if he could determine where it had been beaming too-
"morning sunshine"
"morning sunshine"
With it deactivated, it couldn't be traced.
"Hey," Hobbes greeted back, offering some breakfast she'd picked up on the way over. Real food. She kissed his cheek. "Your morning looks like it's been just as busy as mine."
Dogmom went to go investigate Khamir. Daxton could be trusted to keep Hobbes out of trouble. This other one was still new.

-Daxton smiled back at her in his own small and brief way, before his expression turned serious again, speaking in a quiet tone so that Hobbes would be the only one to hear him- "I found a listening device on the explosive that I've deactivated...but they might have heard a conversation I had with khamir. Which isn't good...they could know about our plans to go visit your "friend", as well as Khamirs involvement. Which means we need to move quick before they initiate counter measures...and khamir may also now be in danger"
"What do you think we should do?" Hobbes asked, leaning a hand on the table. "You said it was going to take a little time to put together a plan on how to get to them..." Hobbes was musing on what to do about Khamir. On one hand, she believed that if a person was in danger, they should know so they could do something about it.
On the other hand, she didn't trust Khamir, and didn't like the idea of telling him what was going on.
It was then that both of their phones went off. Brick red text was on the screen.

PR: this is yvicke
PR: it has come to my attention that we have business to discuss. primarily, the fate of my friend. a certain troll by the name of fitzer, who is already doing time in prison.
PR: i am aware that highbloods are bloodthirsty, but this is just excessive. you've already killed the two responsible, and i will not stand for the blood shed of any more of my associates.
PR: call it off, and i'll leave it at that. however, continue in the way you are, and there will be retaliation. consider the gifts i sent a warning.

-At this strange turn of events, daxton simply cocked an eyebrow and waited to hear hobbes reaction. This was a ballsey move on Yvicke's part, contacting them directly. Daxton had to respect that to a certain degree...but still, Daxton doubted hobbes would give this up...and if hobbes wasn't giving this up, then niether likely would Yvicke...which could put hobbes in danger again, which made Yvicke a problem in daxton's mind...and problems got dealt with-
CC: I'll st*p when y*u're in pris*n.
Hobbes would give this up when she was dead. And it would be dubious even then. When she got passionate about something, there was little that would stop her.

"knowing him, I doubt tracing the message will work. Should we call off the prison break encase he pulls something?"
*Daxton replied mulling the options over in his head, he didn't like that yvicke knew their planning. It created a considerable amount of extra risk going into this. They needed something to tilt the hand back in their favor*

Before Hobbes answered, she picked up the listening device and ground it between her fingers, turning it into dust. "Yvicke isn't the type to leave one of his own dangling in the wind, but Fitzer is my best lead. I don't want to give it up so easily..." she sighed. "Let me make some calls, see if anything's changed."
"that one's your department, your better connected in that area than I am. However....." Daxton said with a slight sigh, sitting back in his chair and rubbing his temples slightly, "If Yvicke knows this much already....it might not be worth it. Prison jobs are already notoriously difficult...if he decided to get cute on top of that...it might get pretty ugly"
"I know Fitzer's not being held in a max security unit right now," Hobbes began. "Yvicke won't have time to do anything; I could get to them, break through any wal-" she was cut off when her phone went off again. She glanced at it, and whatever it said, made her frown. "Swaije thinks she's being followed."
"that could be a problem. How did they find out about her involvement?" *Daxton sighed* "well we can't leave her hanging...but showing direct contact with us might bring things down on her even worse if he's still got bugs around. What if we sent khamir?"
It's definitely not your favorite option, which likely shows, especially to Daxton, but you nod. If he can trust Khamir enough to be his secretary, a simple pick up should be just fine...
You nod. "I'll let her know we're sending him. And remember how she was following Maxele? Can't imagine she was being that subtle if she got caught."
