"Rhuteb and Fen both are staying at the safehouse for a little while, until things calm down. If they need us, they'll call, but Rhuteb's more scrappy than he looks. I'm not really worried about them.
"Think it would be worth dusting the bomb for prints?"
"Think it would be worth dusting the bomb for prints?"
"It could be worth a shot, but with how much it's been handled already I don't know how likely it would be to really find anything useful. Looking at the bombs parts itself tho might also yield some secrets....a make or serial number could help point us in the right direction"
-For a little while khamir was on his own, but not to long later two of the cars on the road did appear to be sticking with him. A pair of Kia souls, one red the other blue. For the moment they weren't taking any hostile actions...but they were definitely tailing him and not trying that hard at all to hide it-
"Whatever you think is best, Mr. Bomb Expert," Hobbes said with a smile. She was just happy to have a possible lead.
You circle a random block to be certain that they're following you, glancing into the rearview mirror to see how much space they're giving you. If they're right on your tail, you're going to have to take different action than if they're putting a couple of cars between you.
-Daxton took the bomb and put it on a metal plate in one of the computer rooms of the ship. Scanning it over to make sure there weren't any remaining active components or tracks before he would open it up-
-As Khamir went to circle the random block, the cars sped up. Closing the previous gap to box him in from behind, as they did that a third yellow car launched into the road suddenly from one of the side streets ahead of his path. Drifting in at an ark in an attempt to slam into him head on with the cars side as the other cars kept him in position by blocking off the road behind him-
"I was really hoping they were going to be more subtle than this," Khamir said. "Hang on; this is going to get a little rough."
He suddenly switched gears, speeding up before veering to the side at the last minute. He cut through a lawnring to avoid the oncoming yellow car, sending a fake legbird flying.
He was headed towards the freeway, not seeming like he was going to slow down now that the chase was afoot.

If reassembled, the bomb would still work, it just wasn't live anymore. Khamir hadn't completely taken it apart, just disabled it. But there were no more tricks inside; only the one bug had been in there.
-The red and blue cars were still hot on Khamir's tail, having swerved through the same garden hounding him. The yellow car was a bit behind them now as well, having needed to take a second to right itself after missing with the slide. The windows of all three cars were heavily tinted so the drivers couldn't quite be made out-
-Daxton carefully took the bomb apart, setting the ignitors and explosive elements aside. Then looking over the other remaining parts for any telling makers marks or numbers-
Khamir swerved in and out of traffic, mentally praying that his arm stayed working as well as it was now. This was taking some real precision driving, and the way he was going... an accident would really fuck them up.
He was driving in such a way, that he was hoping the other drivers wouldn't be as skilled, and run into something in their attempts to keep up. But he had a contingency.
He got onto the acceleration ramp for the freeway.

There was a distinctive stamp, set on one of the containers holding an explosive element. Small, almost indistinguishable, but there.
-You take a scan of the stamp, and use it as an image sear base on one of the dummy disposable computers you had hooked up to the system-
-As Khamir hit's the acceleration ramp, a bright blue light flickers on from under the blue car and it gains an insane boost of speed. Slamming into the back of Khamirs car hard as he attempts the turn at the top of the ramp. Trying to force him over the railing of it-
You notice the blue light in time to react, but your control problems with your prosthetic arm cause you to overcompensate. You drift into the other lane a little, and push the car the little faster it can go, merging into highway traffic.
Traffic is medium today, with plenty of cars on the road, but not enough to affect the flow of traffic. You weave your way over to the far lane, hoping that at the speed they're going at with the nitro, the cars in pursuit will be less skilled at this than you are.
Horns go off left right and center at your reckless driving, not that you're paying much mind to that.

The search comes up for a plastics company, that makes custom plastic pieces. There's an address, a telephone number, the troll who owns the place has their name listed along with their chumhandle... It's definitely a start.
-The car that had been boosting after Khamir slams into the railing and gets knocked off course a bit, falling farther behind. The other two cars however, had not boosted and are easily able to follow Khamir's weaving on the highway-
-After a little while of pursuit, a loud screeching and several crunches could be heard. Cars ahead of Khamir seemed to be trying to do their best to move out of the way. However given the confined space of the walled off lane...they don't quite manage to avoid whats coming. A large truck, that looked as if a trailered semi and a monster truck had some fucked up incest bastard child covered in clown markings, was barreling down the lane against traffic towards khamir. With the guard rails to either side of him and the others cars closing off his way out from behind....it would take some very creative driving to avoid this one-

"Jesus fuck, what the hell did you do???" you ask Swaije, thinking quickly. You had a plan for dealing with some of this... but all that's out the window watching this monstrosity barrel through.
It takes just a second for you to pull off your glove with your teeth, and fire up your laser, aiming it for the hoods of the two cars that were behind you. Twisting your body around, you lean out of the window just enough to take aim and fire. You draw a line of pure light and energy across both hoods, using a setting that should cut straight through to the engine. And, because of the awkward angle, maybe straight across the windshield of an innocent car that happens to be in the crossfire. Whoops.
It takes a lot of energy, and your line isn't exactly steady, but it's the only chance you've really got. Without waiting to see if that does what you want it to or not, you whip the car around and hit the nitro. You figure you have a better chance with the cars behind you than that abomination heading straight for you. One way or another, you're going through both of those cars.
In the back, Swaije faints.

-The red and blue cars lose power from their engines getting cut, but the windshield takes the blast oddly enough. As the cars stall they lay dead in the road. However the car from farther back...the yellow one...hit's it's nitro again while your distracted after taking out the others and slams into you head on-
