"Nope. She's a Denizen. and she's got an attitude I think you might mesh with."
*he gets up, and starts to head for a table where someone is sitting across from a flower... the flower fades out of sight, into a shadow, vanishing from sight. it must not want you to see it* *but you can still see Sucre just fine*

You follow after your denizen, curious about this other Denizen. And oh wow, she looks kinda like a troll. And topless, which you certainly won't complain about. "Hello," you greet.
*sounding happy, Sucre says,* "hiya! not sure why, but you seem to have spooked off Guertena" "hehe, na, I know why! Its cause he's in your session!"
*Your own Denizen takes a seat across from Sucre* "Sucre. a real master of entanglement, and a lover of sweets."
You snicker. "Aw, he's shy. That's kinda cute." You take a seat next to your own denizen, joining them.
*snickering as well, she replies,* "hehe, na. He just thinks that your the one most likely to try an throttle him after the stunt he's going to pull. Actually, he's not totally sure who's going to want to throttle him more, but my money's on it being the shooty one."
*your Denizen says,* "hey, Guertena is a very respectable Denizen. I've worked with him before, and he's got good plans. Meeting you here and now just must not be one of them..."
"See, this is why cheating is bad," you say, unconcerned about it. Whatever Guertena has up his sleeve, you are sure that you can handle it. Hell, it'll probably just make the game more fun. You're kinda excited about the prospect of it. "Do I get to know what's gonna happen, or is that going to be a surprise?"
"He's going to be letting you all have the ring like he promised, he's just going to keep all the power-puffs that surround the thing and use them to try and make the thinky one go through all 4 of his sections. that Artsy rose might be good, but he's got a real big flaw when it comes to wanting feedback for his stuff. He makes it, he's going to want someone to taste-test it." *Sucre takes out one of those large rainbow lollipops like you sometimes can see at festivals, and crunches right into it, separating the candy from the stick in a few seconds*
*your own Denizen is feeling like he's fallen out of the conversation, but he's ok with that*
"Oh, ok. I thought you were going to say he was actually going to make Bob even more powerful or something," you say, amused. "But that's just what we get for not taking care of Bob on our own. We'll just have to get the orbs from Gur later, is all, and then can you imagine how fancy of a sword I could make out of that? That thing would be fucking incredible," you grin, just thinking about it.
"hehe, yea. you all have come up with some fun toys so far. The shooty one is planning on making Protecty into a weapon. His ENTIRE Denizen! Why get a universes grist when you can spend a universes grist?"
*speaking up, your Denizen says,* "if your looking for a powerful sword, then the Skivenkanda is the one with the most purely concentrated power. You've got access to the tools required to make it, though I doubt you'd ever just, 'end up' figuring it out. without help... that, and its supposedly got a bit of a curse on it."
"That guy and his guns, I swear," you say, shaking your head. "I mean it does sound really cool, but it would be boring to just keep things as they are when we could create an /entire/ universe. I don't think there's a weapon out there worth that, though the Skivenkanda does sound /awesome/. What's the curse?"
"Well we all drop enough, so you'd all just need to kill at least two of them!" *Sucre seems comfortable with the fact that Denizens die*
*your Denizen says,* "the curse is that if you use it on someone, then one day, someone will use it on you. It's a weaponized ~Sratch device. They're all called the Skivenkanda, no matter what form it takes."
"That... sounds like something I'd rather skip, then. I'll have to figure out some other kind of rad sword, but I think combining the Reap and the Tahuvian Spirit oughta do the trick next time I need an upgrade," you say. "I do have a question, though... when you guys die, is it a forever kinda thing?"
"pTHHH, Heck no! If I was still dead again, could I do this?" *Sucre playfully ruffles your hair*
*taking this more seriously, your Denizen says,* "We, are dead forever in a sense, but just because one version of us is dead forever doesn't mean we can't live again under alternative, or even the same conditions... its. kind of hard to explain actually. If you wanted a better explanation, you should go ask War. He's one of the first Denizens to become a part of the game after it came out of Betta."
You titter when she ruffles your hair. "Ok, just checking. Cause you guys seem pretty cool, and I'd hate to see you gone forever. Can't guarantee that the version of me won't try and kill you later on though... I do love a good fight, and you are a boss after all," you smile.
*your Denizen says,* "yes, I do understand that we will likely have to fight. Fighting our Player... Its... One of the hardest things we must do. Everything we do up until that point we do in order to try and help you grow... If we were to be victorious..." *he goes quiet, not liking to think of it*
*Sucre fills the silence, saying,* "Not me! I'm a bit more of a... Punishment Denizen. I end up with all the nasty, rotted little cavities who should not be permitted to rise to power, or who should never have become players in the first place. I, don't hold back anything when I fight." *Sucre seems quite proud*
"Don't worry, you're not going to beat me," you say playfully, and then turn more serious. "It's kind of funny, really... some day, I hope I'll be in the same position. Not as a denizen, but as an ancestor. The same way mine was...

"The ship that I have, the most precious thing that I own, that used to belong to him. It had sunk, down into the deep before I'd even hatched, but it was my birthright, and so I found it. And when I did, my ancestor was there, as a ghost, guarding it.

"And that fight... that fight, I think, is one of the things that makes the ship so important to me. He didn't hold back with me, despite my being his legacy and descendant. It was a long, grueling battle, probably the hardest I've ever fought." You smile a bit. "But it was so worth it. To know that I was worthy, that I'd earned it, fought tooth and nail and won, and gained the respect of, well, my hero, really.

"And if I'd died... it would have been an honorable death. Something I'd been proud of, something I'd have been at peace with. Not that I'm eager to die, mind you. But there's an honesty there, that has to be there, in proving worth through combat. Otherwise... the entire thing becomes empty."
*your Denizen looks away a moment, before saying,* "it's always nice when Players are capable of understanding something so important long before the game starts..."
"And I hope you get the chance to prove to be just as important as your ancestor was to you for the people of an entire universe. Please, give them something important. Something worth fighting and dieing for."
*Sucre isn't as emotionally fazed by this. She is supposed to take down bad players. Not support good ones*
"They will be sort of like my descendants in a strange way, won't they," you say, not having thought of that before. This game is strange, to you. On one hand, it's very easy for you still to view this as just a game, something to beat and then be done with, but on the other hand... It's finally sinking in to you a bit that it's actually more than that. That you won't be going back home, to your crew, and that you won't have a descendant. And that... makes you kind of sad, which isn't an emotion you experience all that often.

"I don't know what I'll give them... but whatever it is, I'll make sure that it's something good, something important."
"Thankyou. That is good. I just hope you are able to properly complete the frog. So that it STAYS a place for your people... ... You know, as the Denizen to you, the space player, I could give you a glimpse at a potential event that could exist in your universe... Of course, it is only a possibility. Your actions could change it."
*Sucre has started sucking on a jaw breaker. She might be energetic, but she knows when important talk is happening, and to not quip about it*
You nod. "I'd like to see it."
