"interesting"

-While it's dazed, you switch your stance slightly, and swipe upwards before stabbing in at another point along it's neck this time-
*striking at the neck, the new weapon fills much faster, filling another card, and the ogre poofs out of existence*
"Vamperic effects, when done right, tend to be an incredibly easy means through things... but no one likes a parasite. especially not other parasites... next up is a bit of a bonus monster... these are very new, and their frequency and usefulness will need much checking... land based spawn rates might be best."

*a Whacka pops up out of the ground, just its head to be seen... it doesn't have any visible arms or legs... looks non-hostile*
-You shuddered slightly at the whole vampiric comparison. Looking down at your dolls...with some bad memories floating up. Your not really sure you liked this weapon. However you'd have to live with it till hopefully you could switch to another one-

-looking over the whacka, you watch it for a moment to see what it might do. Body tensed and on guard as you slowly circled it. Not sure what to make of the creature before you-
*whacka follows you with its eyes, its rubbery body turning to continue facing you... it has a mouth, but it doesn't seem to have any harmful teeth in it*
"if you need anything to help you with facing the whacka, you may ask for it."
"I'm not sure "facing it" is the right set of words here. Kinda feel like if I go up and hit it...it would be like smacking a woof-beast pup"
well, hitting it is an option, but if there was something other than hitting it you'd like to do, food or the like could be provided"
*the whacka tilts its head slightly*
"Suuuuuure......let's try that, the food thing"

-you were still a bit wary of the creature. However it wasn't really giving you any reason to kill it either....-
*three additional options are provided to you* *lettuce, raw meat, and some kind of special glowing syrup* "it might be hard to find the third one. its got a particular ingredient thats hard to come by."
"whats that?"
-Since it didn't seem to have harmful teeth, you really doubted meat would be an appropriate treat for it, the lettuce was a better option, however you were curious about the syrup so you go for that-
"it contains an incredibly rare type of grist that every monster has the tiniest chance to drop. zillium."
*the monster drinks it up, and changes color, with a, 'WHAA-hOO!'* *its now multi-colored, and slowly progressing through the rainbow*
"if you whack it now, you'll get a rainbow whacka-bump. very useful. gives the one or two zillium that can drop in the average session some use, since any weapons of any kind cost thousands."
"whats a rainbow whaka bump do?"

-walking over you playfuly give the creature a rap on the head with your knuckles-
*its soft and squishy, the minimal impact having no effect other than making it Coo* 'coooo...'
"think of it as... an invulnerability powerup from a video-game. We are still working on if it should give contact DMG as well. right now its set to just give a DMG buff, aside from a full heal."
"hmm well If I gotta test it....sorry little guy" -you thwack the thing over the head with a bit of greater force, giving it an apologetic look as you do-
'WACK-OW!' *a large bump forms on its head, before it completely falls off, and the Whacka sinks back down into the ground*
*you got a rainbow whacka-bump*
"alright. sorry to have asked you to do that. I know not all Players like to do that kind of thing. next up is dark consort. these ought to be a real hit, since they can be altered in two ways."
*a dark colored salamander with red eyes spawns a short distance from you*
*it somehow hisses, and starts running at you, looking like its ready to try and jump if you swing at it*
-Captaloging the bump, you get back into your fighting mindset and ready your sword. Taking advantage of the enemies charge, you jump before they do....often a foolish move in a fight because it makes it obvious to an opponent what direction your attack will come from. However your hoping the momentum of their charge will leave them little time to react around it, since it seemed like they had been preparing more for attacks dead on or bellow rather than above. When over the opponent, if available you stab down into the salamanders soft back with your blade-
! *it tries leaping as you do, but the one good stab you get in is enough to drain it of its vitality gel, the thing poofing away*
"they'll tend to be in much larger numbers. next up is a Rhynus. its like an Ogre, but a little bigger, a bit quicker, and more likely to try and defend. you ready, or do you want to 'alchemize' a little bit first."
"alright....for armor...combine the rainbow whacka-bump I just got, and the Runic leather armor I have back at my hive. Favoring towards the armor side of the results"

"then for a weapons upgrade.....combine the pin from snitch this time...and the Profane tome of Arkuis Bloook"

(Item explanations: Runic leather armor - Your basic set of leather armor, but inscribed with runes of protection and reboiled in holy water. Gives the greater range of movement given of light leather armor, but with the runes power allows it the defensive strength of steel. The holy water soaking means it can also protect against minor spiritual attacks as well as the normal physical attacks.

Snitch Pin - The magical pin in the "snitch" strife doll that allows the pin and doll to transform into randomized other weapons. As opposed to the pin in the snatch doll that was used last time which allows item capture

Profane Tome of Arkuis Bloook - The book of ancient necromancer and dark sorcerer Arkuis Bloook. Describing a small handful of his spells and research notes into the various dark arts of magic. His favorite field of study being elemental control through the expenditure of spiritual energy, both that of his own energy....and others)
"The bump and armor, would cost things you would be certain not to have by that point, though a few special upgrades can consume items directly for a far cheaper cost. you will need to give up the rainbow bump if you want your armor like that."
"And, a weapon that reacts to the spiritual energy within others could be quite powerful, even if it would be relatively cheep to create. I think you will find that such a tool, is most effective on the more sentient. Particularly Lich. Lich have incredibly strong beliefs, be it in reincarnation, or importance, or protection... There are a number of things Lich might believe, but they all do so with an incredible will. The new weapon, Spirit's Shrapnel, is yours."
*a new pin forms itself in Snitch... you now have, Snitch's normal pin, the Vamperic Rapier you got by combining the current Snitch weapon with a Rainbow-Drinker dagger, and this new pin that looks to resemble a bone ank, the end on the bottom forming the sharp end* *you could probably put the Vamperic rapier away in Snitch if you wanted... might want to give it three new blank cards first though. it'd be good to have the cards you have full at the ready*
"alright...I'll keep the new weapon at the ready in snitch, but for now I'm going to keep using the rapier. That next enemy you described dosen't sound like the super spiritual type....so the rapier might be more useful at the moment"

-saying that you do slot in the new cards to it, adding the filled cards to snatch for quick use, along with the other empty cards-

"and yeah, you can take the bump for the armor....I'd rather have more long term protection than a one shot consumable"
*the bump is removed, and you get the Colour of liturgical abuse* *it doesn't seem to be a traditional armor, but rather 'Something' you can equip not unlike a Syladex* "Bonus monsters are going to be inclined to unlock less traditional things. they will possess qualities specially for this. this equip has a 2% chance of totally and absolutely negating harm, in addition to the protection it grants."

*with that said, the Rhynus spawns* *its standing more upright than an ogre, and its a good head and a half taller than an ogre. its arms are broader, looking to be easier to defend with, and it has a horn on its head* *seeing you, it stands ready, looking for a vulnerability*
