The golem almost seemed relieved as it took the dress of, and Hobbes collected the mass of fabric up.

She muttered something about probably being able to salvage it, before speaking up about something else.

"Since we got that sorted out, I should mention. When I went to see Kentlr, he told me that there was a druid who used to live out in the woods around here. He said that going and finding out to her might help; I figured I should at very least let you know before I went to check it out."

"if that thing ever touches your body, I won't stop dry heaving for weeks"

-Daxton looked over the golem again before hobbes words registered with him-

"huh, another Druid. Yeah might be worth looking into....but the woods around here seem pretty dangerous. Sure you wanna try going after this yourself? Don't get me wrong...I don't doubt you can handle it, the opposite you've been stronger than ever lately...but I don't want your condition getting worse if you have to fight more"
Hobbes pouted at him, but sighed and put the dress to the side.

"And I wouldn't want anything to happen to you here if you're on your own," Hobbes answered, realizing that he was right. "We should stick together, it'll be safer for both of us."
"yeah, that might be a better idea" Daxton nodded towards the keys "Our friend in the storage room said he would give me a ton of information that might be useful to us, but I have to get him a girl's scarf first. Now before you go thinking that sounds easy....it's a specific scarf.....in a room in the house, with a witch's ghost...that used to sacrifice people for youth...and is now being guarded and tortured by demons"
"Wonderful," Hobbes said. "Well, we do have our golem friend now, and I've got supplies for dealing with spectral energies... And hey, if we manage to pull it off, we'll have another room in the house cleared out and relatively safe."
"I wasn't going to try dealing with it right now, unless you really want to and have a plan for it. I was just going to try reasoning with the demons in the room to get the scarf for now, till we get a plan formed"
"Whatever you think is best, hon." She made an amused sound. "Sometimes I forget that diplomacy is actually an option."
"mhm, these were formerly bound demons like myself...so they may not take too kindly to your presence as someone who has bound a demon before yourself. You may want to wait outside while I talk to them....but be ready to make an entrance if I shout for you"
"I'll be waiting just outside if you need me, then. All you have to do is say the word."

Sassy, sensing that some stuff was going to happen, came into the room. She wiggled up onto Daxton's shoulder, climbing his clothes, and licked his ear.
-Daxton scritched the lizards head for a few moments, and then set her atop hobbes hair floof- "watch this one will you, the last thing we need is her eating the magic keeping the witch contained"

-Daxton motioned for the golem to follow him, and then made his way over to the room that was supposed to contain the scarf. Speaking to the golem on the way to help clarify his orders-

"Your primary task is following our orders, but as a secondary task also focus on self preservation. Unless it conflicts with the preservation of us, or conflicts with a direct order, or by doing so allows us to come to harm through any direct or in direct action or inaction.....besides the hat order...keeping the hat is important but don't let yourself get destroyed over it either"
Sassy whined at him for being removed when she had spent all that hard work climbing up his body, and turned her back to pout. But there was no denying that Hobbes' floof was comfy and soft.

The golem followed, but showed no sign that it registered Daxton's orders. Then again, it had shown no sign it had heard Hobbes, and it seemed to be obeying Daxton. So there was that.

The door of the room glowed and pulsed with strong, active magic that had a pungent and strong smell to it. The magic holding it sealed was so strong, the door shone with it, a faint iridescence dancing along the surface of the wood.
-Before using the keys Daxton decided to simply try knocking. Even if they didn't let him in from it, he could still use it to gauge their personalities from their response-
Very softly, spoken from someone who was being disturbed from important work, came the words, "you deal with it."

It was a different voice that cleared their throat before answering. "This is not the door you are looking for."

Softly, influential magic came out. Daxton didn't actually want to come in here, nah. The things he was looking for were in another room.
"Nor I doubt is it the droids I'm looking for either...and under normal circumstances I'd be saying hasta la vista baby after that.....I have need to speak with you on the matter of an object I believe might have been left in that room"
Faintly, someone on the other side of the door said, "oh god, not another one."

The person he was currently talking to just giggled, though. "Alright, I'll bite, but no guarantees I can actually help you with what you're looking for. What can I do ya for?"
"this'll seem a bit weird, but all I need is some girls scarf that was left in the room. I know what else you have in there, and what they have done....and want nothing to do with that. You guys keep on keeping on with your fun with her. Our kind are known for deals tho...so I'll offer you one. Let me in to acquire the scarf...and I'll give your hold on her a little boost. I'm sure you can tell what kind of demon I am from my aura and what that would mean"
There was a pause while the proposal was considered. This time, it was the first voice who replied.

"Usually, we would take you up on your deal. A scarf is no matter to us. However, we would have to dismantle the seals on that door to let anything in or out, which would allow some of the ambient magic of the house in. It has been many, many years since any of us were able to feed or gather more magic, and Nallva has only been growing stronger with time. If any one of us were to take enough attention off of her to unseal the door, or enough magic were let in to allow her to break free of her prison, she would be released. We swore to hold her here in an eternity of torment."
"oh I have a key for the door. Don't know if it'll work through the seals, but given the nature of this house it might, particularly if I charge it with energy. I just figured it would be more polite to ask you first"
"The barrier is one we put up; it's completely independent of the door. And even if you did manage to open the door, the barrier is resistant to all magic. If you are the kind of demon you're implying to be, you wouldn't be able to get through. I'm sorry, but there's simply no way you'll be able to get the scarf you're looking for."
"I've got an associate here that's good with barriers. Might as well let us give it a shot right? After all what do you have to lose...if we can't get the barrier down it just means we can't get in which works for you....and if we can get it then I can help out your spell, which is also good for you. Kind of a win win as it looks to me"
