Coriander: She's got a heart of gold, a serious hero complex, and a desperate need for adventure. She's also my go-to gal. I may flesh this out with other characters later, but for now here's a little list of things I'd like to do with the nerd for the time being!
Epic Quest---
Ala Lord of the Rings or Legend of Zelda. There’s an Epic Quest that needs to be undertaken to distant lands, through uncertain times and grave danger. Maybe your character is the hero, maybe just an innocent bystander who gets sucked into the adventure.
Redemption---
Your character did something bad, once. Maybe something very bad. Something that haunts them and fills them with regret- but there is a path back to the light. If they need a catalyst or just a sidekick who believes wholeheartedly in their general goodness, I can provide an entirely, absurdly enthusiastic and wholesome face.
Hurt/Comfort---
Oops! Your character just had a bad time, and they’re pretty beat up! They need someone to nurse them back to health and provide them with shelter- Enter one Miss Coriander Rice, owner of the most bleeding heart in existence and possessor of absolutely no sense of self preservation.
Hero in Chains---
Or villain in chains, if you want to mix it with Redemption. Typically your guy/gal is large and in charge, but someone has sundered their crown. The tables are turned, and they’re in need of help, someone who is oblivious to danger and who won’t turn against them later.
Catalyst----
Your guy/gal has been living an entirely ordinary life, relatively untouched by strangeness, until they meet a freckle-faced girl on the subway or in a park, and suddenly shit gets weird. Before they quite know what's happening they're on the run from monsters with a woman named after pantry contents, trying to survive and figure out what the hell is going on.
