For example, aptly-named Junkyard Jim runs a junkyard (Jim's Junk) on the outskirts of one of Tuphon's major cities. If a certain Captain (or space goblins) are mentioned, he will gladly share his dislike for the latter, and that Cap'n Ray got rid of those pesky gremlins raiding his business.
His junkyard is just that, a junkyard, but if one does enough digging there might be a few hidden gems waiting to be found. These usually consist of spare parts, or in some cases, salvageable speeders or small starships.

Prime Minister Jaival Gadhavi A sprightly man in his seventies, with a stocky build of medium height and all-grey hair. He is currently in the middle of his first term as Prime Minister of the Orbital Spacecolony Rho-12. Known by those who support him as fair and kind, and those that oppose him as "a bloody centrist". He was voted in on a platform of hope and second-chances, and is known for his soft stance on criminals (rehabilitation over incarceration), as well as his campaign promise to retrieve vital historical records from the destroyed Rho-8 satellite (a promise made by many PMs before him, but never fulfilled). He was voted in on strong numbers, and broke records with his overwhelmingly positive support in the public census going into the polls. However, his numbers took a nose-dive approximately two months after his inauguration due to a scandal, out of his hands. He's been looking to recover ever since, but his opposition has jumped on the chance to pick apart his platform and his family. A divorcée, his ex-wife is also his long-term campaign manager, one Naava Kshatriya (Gadhavi). They still work together, and in lieu of a First Lady, Naava is often called the First Matron in the press. |
'First Matron' Naava Kshatriya A lively, fiery woman in her seventies, naturally-curly white-grey hair tamed into a more wild, wavy bob. An average height, lean build with long fingers often used to gesture emphatically. She's known for her gentle smile, quick wit, and tireless campaigning. Twice-divorced (née Gadhavi, née Sattari), she has taken to using her maiden name, Kshatriya. Although she and Jaival are no longer married, leaving the Orbital Spacecolony Rho-12 with no First Lady, the press and most of the colony affectionately refers to her as the 'First Matron of Rho-12'. She is still with her ex-husband, and is known for her tireless campaigning on his behalf (having been his campaign manager since far back before his time even as a Senator), and her charity work. Charismatic and witty, she is a grandmotherly media darling. |
