Seeming to bounce under the waves, Zap floated alone for now. She was in the open, without the protection of normal jellies, or even the cover of rocks, plants or maybe fish. She was trying to get her head above the water to take a look, but she felt far too scared to really do it.

Each time she got close she dropped down, her eyes as wide as saucers as she tittered to herself. She would begin to rise again, only to drop down. It was a long cycle and when her head did break the surface, she rocketed down in the water, her sack closing up and becoming thin, only to balloon open when she was finally down far enough she felt safe.

Enter the Aquatic Elf, Kortril, who is gracefully and aimlessly swimming about. He is unarmed, and wears but a tight tunic made of green seaweed. He notices the strange jellyfish woman nearby, but does not approach her - he instead stops and regards her with both curiosity and apprehension.
The Large predator swims along the ocean surface, not to hunt but for a breath of fresh air. the ocean is quiet as he swims along no fish, turtles, it seems that even the largest of sharks have dissipated into the darkness of the ocean. Tyler as he was named by the Scientists who cloned him frightened all creatures even when not in predator mode. He notices an unknown creature floating on the surface, from instinct he swims towards it for a test bump to see what response he would get from this strange thing he sees. Swimming at a slow pace he moves in about 300 yards away from his target. Even though this is not a true attack the move seems to show aggression were it is truly only anticipation.
Zap was blissfully unaware of the danger as she rubbed the top of her head, making sure she wasn't damaged. Something akin to nervous laughter broke from her lips and she shook softly, "Wow-ie!" She wasn't quiet, but she wasn't trying to draw attention to herself. It was just the way the bubbly jelly was.
With his keen senses, the aquatic elf has no trouble hearing, smelling and spotting the creature that is moving towards the strange jellyfish person. He doesn't wait any longer - he just points at the creature, gestures for the jellyfish person to follow him, and dives.
Floating on the surface, a long, rusty-orange figure relaxed with closed eyes, tail moving only slightly to keep him moving along. Despite being in his 'sleep', he wasn't completely oblivious to his surroundings.
Zap looked at the large creature, her eyes going wide. She made herself small, sinking slowly. Behind her her hair trailed, shimmering in the lowering light. She made a face, going too deep made her head hurt and she was beginning to feel that.
Kortril dives, and does so quickly. He looks over his shoulder to see if Zap - and more importantly, the beast - are following him. The aquatic elf gets a glance of something floating on the surface, but it is already too far away for him to figure out just what it is. Either way, he doesn't pay this much mind. Can't be worse than the giant sea monster.
The Jelly fishes shimmering body was taken as a warning so with a grunt causing bubbles to float to the surface he stops his charge. Now with that energy exerted he was hungry his nostrils flared three scents in the water one of which seemed an easy target, so with a sharp downward turn he charges again only this time with his sights set on the elven creature. The downward charge sent a large boom to the surface causing an impressive ripple across the ocean surface.

Using his secondary set of eyelids to protect from injury from water and prey he nearly blindly rushes the elf. with his jaws opened wide and coming in hot he felt the cold from the deeper ocean sending chills through his spine causing the great lizard to become lethargic and slowed.
Zap followed curiously, watching the huge creature now. confident she's not about to be eaten, she swims slowly. After all, who would want a burnt tongue? She cocked her head to the side, looking at Tyler, "Biiiiig fishie." She floated where she was, bobbing up and down, pulling on her hair silently. She wanted to see what he was going to go after.

Curiosity wasn't always nice.
Kortril expects nothing else from the beast than a mindless frontal assault; ready, he gracefully swims to the side, out of the way of the way of the charging creature. Its slowness makes it easy for the elf to dodge the creature - who, unlike it, doesn't get lethargic in the cold.
Zap followed after Kortril, curious about what he was doing there. She floats, seeming a little more than wreckless. The actual danger of the situation doesn't seem to bother her at all, or even register. She keeps looking around with big eyes, bouncing this way and that under the waves.
Kortril, once he's avoided the beast, turns back to see Zap again! After a second looking at her flabbergasted - she seems awfully happy for someone who almost got eaten by a giant thing! It doesn't take long for his surprised expression to be replaced by a small smile, though.

"Come. It is not safe here.", he says, gesturing for her to follow him, then turns and swims away! He's knows of a sunken ship somewhere nearby - it ought to be a safe place to be. And that's where he heads off to!
