The Vulpine Vandals

The following is written on a large scroll, penned personally by Lady Açelya, benefactor of the mercenary group the Vulpine Vandals. It is displayed prominently on a stone pillar in the company's base, right as you walk in.

Dear reader:

The political situation in Kasuria is dire; deceit and politicking is ruining what was once a great kingdom, and I have been forced to pack up and flee. I have based myself here on Guildereim for now, although I intend to return to what is my home by rights and reclaim what has been taken from me.

I do not intend to return as a conqueror, but instead to clear my name with honesty and straightforwardness within the law. The issue, however, might be made more complicated as Kasurian based hit squads have been sent after me. For my own protection and the protection of the innocents within this, the Golden Tether, I have called together a mercenary company using what funds I retain at my disposal. If you do not have mischievous intentions, you have nothing to fear from me or from those in my employ. If you mean to harm us, however, you will find yourself facing the full fury of the Vulpine Vandals, and the reason for the name will become abundantly clear to you.
