Newmarrow City

Newmarrow, an independent city-state surrounded by toxic and barren wastelands. Ruled by a corrupt government, Newmarrow is a dog eats dog sort of world. The wealthy aristocrat families live in skyscrapers and rarely leave the cushy, fenced off area they call home. However, blood feuds and power plays are common amongst them and assassination are not unheard of. The rest of the city lives in relative hardship, simply trying to make ends meet. To make life more difficult, 30% of it's residents are found to have (not so) extraordinary powers, each with a debilitating flaw. Even so, the majority of these special people are simply recruited by the gangs that rule the streets. It's a terrifying world and whether you be a shopkeeper, gang member, or aristocrat, it's not going to be an easy life.
