Forums » The Lobby » The Hotel Shop - Open For Business

Branching off from the lobby, the shutters on the shop front pulled open with a puff of blue dust, the lights flicking on and a sign being pulled over to read "OPEN". Inside, wooden shelves seated dozens of containers of various snacks and medicinals, from salt tablets to Snicker bars (Hah! That's me 83).

Running the cornerstone-sized establishment was a reindeer that sat in a straw hat with a red band and a black and blue bowtie. The clerk sat behind the counter, satisfied with his handiwork -- jars were refilled, vending machines around the hotel were restocked, goods were baked, and the whole place was clean again thanks to some Mr. Sheen spray.

Blunder now smiled, satisfied and nibbling on a stick of candy cane as he patiently waited for customers. The dining room could provide food for the hotel patrons, but his shop provided the true goodies -- the many delicious, foreign, sodas (adventurer-approved), the snacks to stave off their hunger while the dining hall was closed -- the magic nommables were just what the adventurous patrons needed!

Sienna was restocking the shelves, there wasn't much to restock but, constant up keep is a necessity. She hummed along as she stocked the chocolates and drinks "Are we going to be busy today Blunder?" she asked putting away the last cola bottle, if this place was ever to be renamed, it would be called diabetes central.

Sienna approached the counter with a lollipop in her mouth "yesterday was really cool! Lots of people came!"
The reindeer nodded happily. "Yup! More people are checking in today -- something about a holiday break." Sienna was the one who managed the register most of the time, as Blunder had a lot more difficulty doing so.

"Could you grab those special sodas and put some up on the counter? The ones that glow a little --" he gestured to one of the fridges on the sidewall.
"Okies" she said motion over a plant besides the counter. The roots emerged from the soil and grew, slithering across the floor towards the soda fridge.

Sienna was noting down all the items that she stocked, making sure she knew what she was looking for when she went to the store room.

The roots retracted back and left 4 bottles lined up on the counter "that enough Blunder"
Condolette glanced at the hotel, and the application in her hands. The writing was messy, but this was due to Condolette's primary writing style being in K'zayl. She sighed going in. "Alright who do I turn this in to?"She asked herself looking around. She soon noticed people working in the Hotel shop. She went in seeing a reindeer and a woman stocking shelves. "Uh... excuse me."She said.
Some might call cleaning the hotels shop as an invasion of sorts - going above and beyond the call of duty. After all, grounds keeper is a very solid job in terms of guessing where your location of interest is. Oh it's easy enough...The area around the hotel was not only kept clean and presentable, but free from otherworldly vagrants!

Kasumi never asked for payment. Indeed, for some odd reason the yokai demanded to work for free. However, she also worked with the power of backwards spirit logic. "Grounds" keeper. Technically, the grounds continued UNDER the hotel... Thus it was ALL under her protection. With a hot gust of wind announcing her arrival, the capricious fox spirit seemed to literally float in, her form mimicking the features of both fox and humanoid. This hybrid form was the one she most commonly took. No hiding her true identity from her compatriots.

Kimono barely scraping the ground, the kitsune hovered three inches off the ground, humming a sweet tune as she would glide by the counter, a wicker basket in hand, sweeping dust and trash up with a stray breeze, balling it up with pressure and tossing it in, her five tails swaying behind her, her luminous gaze turning from one inhabitant to the next, observing them carefully and crooning out in her whispy, soft voice "A wonderful day to all of you~. If anyone requires my assistance... I will be upwind! "
