Rules

  • Please note these rules apply to the Dream as much as the group.

    General Rules...

    1. Swearing, offensive language relating to gender, race, or otherwise, is FORBIDDEN and UNACCEPTABLE OOCly in the Labs and will immediately get you ejected and/or banned!

    2. No spamming - whispered or aloud. If there is an RP going on, keep OOC to [brackets] or /whispers.

    3. Sexual content can only occur behind private, locked doors. We DO allow such Rp so long as it's out of sight. Lockable rooms are in progress.

    4. No idling in doorways or at a teleport point, even if it's your IC location. This causes DS jump failure and glitching.

    5. This is a consent-only dream. (Permission needed for rape, fights, death, mutilation, etc.)

    6. Only give out real-life information at your own risk. We are not responsible for what happens to information said while in the REVERSE Lab.

    7. If any rules are broken, the offender depending on the situation and severity may be ejected and/or banned from the Labs. All incidents are to be reported to the|REVERSE|Lab (the dream bot) via whispers for the record.

    8. In Lady|Reverse's absence, staff should not be ejecting/banning without proof. As stated in rule 7, incidents are to be reported via whispers to the dream bot.

    9. Do not abuse the teleport commands, eject abilities, or emits.

    10. All creatures within our lab, whether robotic, furred, human, etc, have the same rights as the others. They are to be paid fair wage, given a place to stay, offered food or energy supplies, and are to be treated with respect!

    11. Don't make things up when RPing with a medical procedure. If you don't know what you're doing but you want to help, ask someone who might have some basic medical background or ask the patient him/herself.

    12. When there's an emergency, if a staff or able-bodied character is ICly in the vicinity they are EXPECTED TO HELP!

    13. Most importantly, have fun!

    Fighting Rules...

    1. Our dream has NPC defenses. Please be aware of this when doing RPs that might involve an invasion, break out, etc. We also have sentries and robots to help stop intruders, as well as player-character guards who have a few weapons to help them keep the peace. Only the PC guards and admin control NPC guards. These include armored humans, robots, and chakats (for example, the two outside the main entrance).

    2. If there are people in an area who were RPing prior to a fight, move the fight to another locatoin, even if the location is not the same.

    3. All physical attacks are limited to 2 per post. "Shot" attacks (gunshots, thrown weapons/abilities) in one post are limited to 5 attacks.

    4. All god-modding, power playing, etc. is not to occur.

    5. All fights must have a staff member on duty to referee the fight. They will keep an eye out for rule-breaking, god-moding, etc.

    6. Posts are at a 3-line-minimum. This means if you switch your font to the smallest font, your post must take up three lines of writing before you post it!

    7. When your character loses consciousness, he or she STAYS unconscious for the remainder of the
fight. If you want a temporary out, you may "black-out", but must clarify this ahead of time and are short-term only.

    8. Please be aware of everyone's location in a fight. In the same line, please read all posts even if they don't concern your character.

    9. All fights must have an order, even with only three people playing!

    10. All death and mutilation must be consented to OOCly even if a dice roll comes out as a hit.

    11. If you must leave a fight, please make an exit post, or else your character will be assumed to have been knocked out and dropped aside.

    12. For complex spells, please use preps! The more powerful the spell, the bigger the prep! Consult staff or referee of fight for prep counts if you are unsure.

    13. Failure to follow these rules will get you warned and/or ejected, and/or banned.

*Note: Some rules may be set aside if all players agree to it and feel everyone is advanced enough in "common fighting sense" to know what to/what not to do.

    Meeting Rules...

    1. During our meeting the Lab will be officially closed.

    2. Those that enter during meetings will be whispered via Reverse. I will let visitors know that they are welcome to return later if they need anything and members I will summon to the meeting room.

    3. Keep random chatter quiet during the meeting.

    4. Please do not go AFK during the meeting. If you need to, sit yourself aside so that you are not called on when open-mic happens.

    5. Pre-typed paragraphs for open-mic are a huge help, as it keeps us moving quickly. Write notes while we go through the meeting, so you know what you might need to mention or question later.

    6. Keep the meeting moving. Please stay on-topic.

    7. Please be patient with everyone while they type.

    8. Hold onto all questions and comments for the end, when we have an open-mic.

    9. Rules for Open-Mic: We will go one person at a time, I will call on each person. Upon being called, you are to say immediately Yes or No depending on whether you have something to say. This will keep us moving quickly so that we can go on to the next person. If you do not respond within a minute of being called on, then you will be skipped and will have to speak to me later about whatever you might have wanted to say.
