Basic setting

Welcome to "The Protectorite". This is the name given to the realm inhabited by mortals and monsters. Your role is to be a guardian in this world alongside other adventurers, fighters, spellcasters, and even Monsters to protect this world from evil. Or join forces with evil to plot its domination or destruction on a fallen path. In this group, the scenario possibilities are endless just like the gameplay in both of the games this group was inspired by and based on.

This group is a fan based parody. All credit for content to original creators and it is highly encouraged to support the official games and simply have fun within this group.
1. This group uses content from both Dragon Quest IX Sentinels of the Starry Skies, and Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 to make stats for hero characters and NPC allies and companions of human and Monster variety.
2. The only kinds of "human" NPC allies and companions that can be made in this group are from the "Create a Companion" feature of Dragon Quest 9. These companions will always be human, and their growth patterns are usually set in stone. However, the stats of these companions can be enhanced with Stat Seeds, which are a valuable and rare set of edible items found in most all Dragon Quest games.
3. The only kinds of "monster" NPC allies and companions that can be made in this group are from the Dragon Quest series, and more specifically from the American release of Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2. These companions have wild growth patterns and can be altered via Monster Synthesis or Stat Seeds.
4. While it is encouraged to have a copy of each game to play on your own and set up your own character, allies, and stats, it is not absolutely required. If you do not have a copy of either game, you may still set up a character for the group. However, the companions you will be able to make will be limited to Monsters exclusively.
5. The group founder will be able to provide you with some Lv.1 starting stats and aid you in deciding on a starting companion if you want one. But if this is the case, please do not ask for anything rare or overly powerful from the get go. Seriously, it would not be fair even to veteran players if a new player comes in with fresh stats and has a god monster protecting them.
6. Fair and honest proof of monster ownership is highly encouraged, because if you ARE new to the group but have an overpowered DQ9 character and an overpowered DQMJ2 monster you want with you, it is encouraged to present proof to the group founder to avoid drama. The proof should be as simple as snapping 2 pictures, one of the stats of your character on DQ9 and one of the stats of your monster. These pictures may be posted in the group gallery with your character name and the date it was taken so other members can see for themselves.
7. All stats are subject to change as the games are played and as players and companions level up, and this does not mean that proof photos will need updating if they're required in the first place. Keep a simple record somewhere of your own stats and the stats of your companions and be sure to keep it updated and everything will be fine. For the sake of fairness, keeping track of your own stats on a regular basis is highly recommended. Be responsible!!
